My Top 40 - 02/12/2017

February 12, 2017 | 40 songs

Lady Gaga dominates the chart, but #1 belongs to Sean Paul.

Thanks to her Super Bowl performance, Lady Gaga gets multiple entries on this week's chart, leading with "Million Reasons", which earns Greatest Gainer honors by moving 34 spots to #4, a new peak for the song. It's the highest peaking song from Joanne so far, Gaga's latest studio album. Two more tracks from it chart this week: "A-YO" reaches a new #31 peak, while "John Wayne" rebounds to #21, and has gone as far as #13 so far. Other tracks that benefit from her Super Bowl performance are "The Edge of Glory" (#27), "Telephone" (#30), "Poker Face" (#36), and "Bad Romance" (#38).

But while Gaga had a huge surge in points, "No Lie" by Sean Paul featuring Dua Lipa surprisingly moves to #!, blocking both Dua and Ed Sheeran from spending second weeks at #1 with either "Be The One" or "Shape of You) (#2 and #3 this week). It's Sean Paul's third #1 in less than a year, as he was featured on "Rockabye" and "Cheap Thrills". Speaking of the Clean Bandit and Anne-Marie track, "Rockabye" spends another week inside the top 10, hanging at #10.

Alessia Cara reaches a new peak with "Scars to Your Beautiful", at #6. ZAYN and Taylor Swift also reach top 10 with "I Don't Wanna Live Forever". The track from Fifty Shades Darker is at #9 this week.

The huge shift in points to Lady Gaga tracks makes three songs on the top 10 retreat: "I Got You" spends it's first week outside top 5, while "Everyday" is down a single spot. Most notably, last week's #1, "Paris" drops to #5 on it's fourth week on the chart.

"I Feel It Coming" by the Weeknd and Daft Punk drops from the top 10 after spending multiple weeks at #1. Shakira's "Chantaje" was also pushed out this week after reaching a #2 peak.

This week's top debut is Katy Perry's new single "Chained to the Rhythm" at #19 after it's release on Friday. Look for it to possibly move inside top 10 next week.
