Chart

My Top 40 - 04/09/2017

"Be The One" tops the chart for a third week while Martin Garrix and Drake jump into the top 10.

Dua Lipa's "Be The One" stays at #1 for a second consecutive week. Adding it's #1 debut in January, the track has spent 3 weeks at the top spot, tying Katy Perry's "Chained to the Rhythm" and Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You" for the longest reign of 2017 so far.

Selena Gomez and Kygo return to #2 with "It Ain't Me", matching it's previous high-point. Should the track reach #1, it would be the first #1 for both acts. Gomez's has reached #2 on two previous occasions with "Good For You" and her feature on Charlie Puth's "We Don't Talk Anymore".

After debuting at #5, Jax Jones' "You Don't Know Me" moves into the top 3. It sidetracks Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You", which ranks #4 on it's 14th week.

The last song in the top 5 is Drake's "Passionfruit", which also earns Greatest Gainer honors this week thanks to it's 19 spots jump. "Passionfruit" matches "Fake Love" as the highest peaking song from More Life. Drake lastest single to rank higher was #3-peaking "Too Good", which of course followed his #1 hit "One Dance".

A pair of #1 hits follow: "Symphony" by Clean Bandit featuring Zara Larsson drops to #6, while the aforementioned "Chained to the Rhythm" slides three spots to #7.

Aside from claiming #1, Dua Lipa is on this week's #8: "Scared to Be Lonely", with Martin Garrix. It finally reaches top 10 after 11 weeks on the chart, besting it's previous peak of #11. Garrix has reached as high as #7 (with Bebe Rexha on "In The Name of Love").

Calvin Harris returns to the top 10 with "Slide" at #9. The Frank Ocean and Migos assisted hit has gone has high as #8. The Weeknd closes the top 10 with "I Feel It Coming".

Below top 10, "Touch" becomes Little Mix's first chart entry, and is the week's highest debut at #14. "Rockabye" by Clean Bandit, Anne-Marie and Sean Paul drops from the top 10 on it's 21st week, ending a 20-week streak that dates back to it's debut last year at #9, including a week at the top spot. A pair of Lorde tracks also drop below #10: "Magnets" plummets 6-15, and "Green Light" falls from #5 to #13.
