My Top 40 04/23/017

"It Ain't Me" stays at #1 for a second week, Imagine Dragons and Lady Gaga crash top 5.

Kygo and Selena Gomez remain at #1 for a second consecutive week with their first chart-topper "It Ain't Me". It blocks "You Don't Know Me" by Jax Jones and Raye, which rebounds from #4 to #2.

This week's Greatest Gainer is just behind, with Imagine Dragons' "Believer" skyrocketing from #28 to #3. It's the lead single from their upcoming third studio album, and it surpasses the performance of all the singles from Smoke + Mirrors, their last album.

The top debut also makes a strong showing, with Lady Gaga's "The Cure" starting at #4. That matches "Million Reasons", which is the highest peaking song from her last studio album, Joanne. At this point it's unclear if "The Cure" will be part of a new studio album or a Joanne re-issue.

Dua Lipa follows with a pair of tracks: "Be The One" drops three spots to #5, while Martin Garrix's "Scared to be Lonely" slides from it's #3 peak to #6. A week after earning their first top 10 with "Touch", Little Mix earns their second one with "No More Sad Songs", featurring Machine Gun Kelly, jumping eleven spots to #7 which is higher than "Touch" (that track drops #8-#14 this week).

Clean Bandit's "Symphony" drops two spots despite a modest bullet, and is this week's #8. Completing the purge of the top 10 are Starley's "Call On Me" and Anne-Marie's "Ciao Adios" at #9 and #10, both earning new peaks.

As a result of the huge amount of movement, Calvin Harris' "Slide", Ed Sheeran's "Shape of You", the aforementioned "Touch", Bruno Mars' "That's What I Like" and Katy Perry's "Chained to the Rhythm" all drop from the top 10.

Just below top 10, Zedd and Alessia Cara jump to #11 with "Stay", Halsey's "Now Or Never" improves to #12 on it's second week and Rag'n'Bone Man's "Human" jumps to #16.

Luis Fonsi, Julia Michaels and Daddy Yankee earn their first chart entries. Fonsi and Daddy Yankee enter at #39 with "Despacito". Michaels' single "Issues" starts at #32.
