Seventh week at #1 for "One Kiss", Clean Bandit and Demi Lovato jump to #4.
Stop me if you have heard this before, but Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa top the chart with "One Kiss". It marks the seventh consecutive week at the top spot for the track. That makes it Calvin Harris' longest reign at #1 (his biggest hit is probably Rihanna's "We Found Love" which pre-dates the chart's 2015 start), while it matches Dua Lipa's "New Rules" seven week run at #1 (that smash hit drops to #31 this week).
Shawn Mendes' "Lost in Japan" is finally able to beat it's #5 peak this week as it jumps to #2. It matches "In My Blood" (down to #6 this week), as his highest peak to date. Anne-Marie also gets a new peak, as "2002" moves to #3, her highest rank as a lead, tying it with her Marshmello collab "FRIENDS" (steady at #20 this week). Anne-Marie's biggest hit yet is still Clean Bandit's "Rockabye", the #1 hit where she was featured with Sean Paul. Mendes' biggest hit yet is "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back", which spent several weeks building points below top 20 before finally reaching #18 after more than 30 weeks.
Speaking of Clean Bandit, their new single with Demi Lovato, "Solo" jumps to #4 on it's second week, earning Greatest Gainer honors and looking like a strong contender to join "Rockabye" and "Symphony" as another #1 hit for the British band. Lovato has gone as high as #2 with "Sorry not Sorry", while Bandit's last top 10 hit was #7 peaking "I Miss You", which drops another spot to #49 this week.
Ariana Grande drops to #5 with "No Tears Left to Cry", which has reached as high as #2 on two different weeks so far. Former #1 hits "Delicate" and "Never be the Same" are this week's #7 and #8. That marks a three spot recovery for Taylor Swift and a four spot drop for Camila Cabello. "Never be the Same" dropping relatively hard this week might have something to do with "Sangria Wine", Cabello's new single with Pharrell, which moves up to #12 this week.
Dua Lipa again, this time at #9 with "IDGAF". The former #1 hit cracks the half-year mark at 26 weeks charting, still quite far from current longevity record "Be The One". Lipa's smash hit spent three weeks at #1 and marks it's 70th week charting with a drop to #39.
The last entry in the top 10 is Rudimental's "These Days", which drops one spot from it's #9 peak.
Aside from "Sangria", another contender is Selena Gomez' "Back to You", which moves up three spots to #13 this week. Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato move up to #22 with "Fall in Line", while Jennifer Lopez, Cardi B, Charlie Puth and Shawn Mendes make some key gains on the lower region of the chart.
This week's #50 is Imagine Dragons' "Whatever it Takes", which celebrates a year on the chart. The track hasn't gone as high as either "Thunder" (#3) or "Believer" (#1), but has outlasted both tracks by a big margin.
