"Solo" dethrones "One Kiss", becomes Clean Bandit's third #1 hit and Demi Lovato's first.
It looked like it was going to peak at #2, but finally, "Solo" overtakes "One Kiss" to become the third #1 hit for Clean Bandit, following "Rockabye" and "Symphony". It also becomes Demi Lovato's first #1 after going as high as #2 with "Sorry Not Sorry" before. Lovato was hospitalized this week from an apparent overdose, which she sort of foreshadowed on her latest single, "Sober". That track starts at #41 this week, while previous hits "Tell Me You Love Me" (#8 peak) and "Give Your Heart a Break" (#50 debut, it's chart-run happened before this chart's inception, but it's cumulative total points suggest it would have been a contender for #1) re-enter the chart this week.
The aforementioned "One Kiss" gives up the top spot for the second time in it's run, but Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa's track still commands a record 14 weeks there, so it's probably no big deal at this point. Maroon 5 and Cardi B also drop down one spot to #3 with "Girls Like You".
The last track to dethrone "Kiss" is still top five as well, Cardi B's "I Like It" with Bad Bunny and J Balvin. The latin flavored track stays steady at #4.
Troye Sivan earns his first top five hit with "Dance to This". Featured act Ariana Grande has visited the region multiple times, most recently with "no tears left to cry", which drops down to #10 this week after reaching #2. The next single from Grande's Sweetener, "God is a woman" earns Greatest Gainer honors this week by jumping to #20 from #40.
Drake earns his third Scorpion top 10 hit with "In My Feelings", which jumps to #6. It follows "God's Plan" (#5) and "Nice for What" (#9). Fellow rapper Post Malone earns his second top 10 single as a lead with "Better Now", at #8. It follows "rockstar" (#7) and his featured turn on Lorde's "Homemade Dynamite" (#2).
Sandwiched between those two is former #1 hit "Delicate", down to #7. Anne-Marie's "2002" also moves down to #9 this week.
Just below top 10, Kygo and Imagine Dragons drop one spot with "Born to Be Yours", after finally reaching #10 last week.
Post Malone looks to add a fourth top 10 hit with "Jackie Chan". That Tiësto and Dzeko track moves up to #13. Jesse Glynne and Tegan and Sara also earn their first top 20 hits as leads.
Last but not least, Shakira and Maluma return to the chart with "Clandestino". The pair debuts at #47 this week, but keep an eye on it, because previous collaboration "Chantaje" gave them a #2 hit.
