My Top 50 - 07/29/2017

July 29, 2017 | 50 songs

Dua Lipa keeps her "New Rules" at #1, Charlie Puth earns first solo top 5.

"New Rules" takes #1 for a second week. Dua Lipa's track commands a top 3 that includes "Feels" at #2 and "Wild Thoughts" at #3. All three tracks have been the top 3 for six weeks in a row, with each spending two weeks at the #1 position.

Looking to break this streak is last week's #4 song, "Unforgettable". It remains at #4 with an increase in points. It's the first chart entry for both French Montana and Swae Lee.

Speaking of firsts, Charlie Puth earns his first solo top 5 hit with "Attention" at #5. It follows his Wiz Khalifa collaboration, "See You Again" and Selena Gomez assisted "We Don't Talk Anymore".

The usual suspects follow: "Perfect Places" and "Strangers" both drop one spot for Lorde and Halsey, while Macklemore is up one to #8 with "Glorious", a new peak for the song.

Imagine Dragons drop to #9 with "Whatever It Takes". Two more tracks from Evolve chart this week: "Believer", which reached #1 for a single week, is up to #11 this week, while "Thunder" is this week's Greatest Gainer with a ten spot jump to #32 (beating it's previous high-point of #35).

The sole new entry to the top 10 this week is Liam Payne's "Strip that Down". It follows "PILLOWTALK" and "I Don't Wanna Live Forever", as the third top 10 hit for one of the former One Direction members. Both of those hits were by Zayn Malik, with "Forever" also including Taylor Swift. Niall Horan also earns a new peak at #34 for "Slow Hands".

Below top 10, Rihanna's "Desperado" re-enters at #16. The ANTI track has spent 8 weeks on the chart and gone as high as #13. Alessia Cara's version of "How Far I'll Go" debuts at #25, the highest debut this week. The song is from the Disney film, Moana.
