Billie Eilish's "bad guy" returns to #1 for twelfth week, becomes second longest running #1 hit ever.
"bad guy" manages a surprise return to #1 for a twelfth non-consecutive week. This makes Eilish own the second longest running #1 ever on the chart behind Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa's "One Kiss" which reigned for 15 weeks last year. It surpasses Camila Cabello and Young Thug's "Havana" which spent eleven weeks at the summit. More on Cabello below. This week also marks the 20th week on the chart for "bad guy".
After notching two more consecutive weeks at #1, and six total, Katy Perry's "Never Really Over" slides to #2 again on it's twelfth week on the chart. "Small Talk", the follow-up single from Perry moves up to #26 on it's second week.
"Never Really Over" holds off a surging "Truth Hurts", which increases in points but can't quite reach a new peak for Lizzo at #3. Another Lizzo track, "Good as Hell", debuts at #28.
"All the Time" moves up one for Zara Larsson to #4. The track has reached as high as #3 so far. Larsson's "Don't Worry Bout Me" re-enters top 20 at #20 after reaching #18 so far.
At #5, Zendaya earns her first top five hit with "All for Us". This is also Labrinth's highest peaking song, surpassing LSD's "Thunderclouds", which reached #9. Speaking of LSD, their single "Audio" enters at #48 this week.
Camila Cabello's collaboration with Shawn Mendes, "Señorita", slides to #6, followed by Taylor Swift's "You Need to Calm Down". Both tracks have reached #3 so far. Swift's album Lover drops next week. Promo single and title track "Lover" starts at #43. Lead single "ME!" drops to #35 after reaching #1 earlier this year.
Sam Smith slides one spot from his #7 peak with "How Do You Sleep?". Just behind, No.6 Collaborations Project, the latest album by Ed Sheeran, finally earns a top 10 hit with "Beautiful People" at #9. The song features Khalid, whose "Talk" (#14 this week) earned at #3 peak earlier this year. "People" earns Greatest Gainer honors this week with a sixteen spots jump.
Last but not least, Post Malone and Young Thug return to the top 10 with "Goodbyes". The track is the follow-up to #12 peaking "Wow.", which of course followed "Sunflower", Post's biggest hit on this chart yet (and still #17 this week).
Just below top 10, Ellie Goulding's "Sixteen" jumps to #13, while follow-up "Hate Me" with Juice WRLD moves up to #27. This week's highest debut is Dagny's "Love You Like That" at #23. The song is heavily sampled on Katy Perry's #1 hit "Never Really Over".
Lewis Capaldi and iconic superstar Whitney Houston earn their first entries this week. Normani's debut single "Motivation" also gives her a solo entry, after appearing on multiple collaborations with Calvin Harris, Khalid and Sam Smith, and of course Fifth Harmony.
