"New Rules" becomes longest running #1 of 2017.
Dua Lipa's "New Rules" leads the chart for a fifth consecutive week, surpassing "Symphony" as the longest reigning #1 of the year. The Clean Bandit collaboration with Zara Larsson led the chart for four non-consecutive weeks. Dua Lipa holds off Calvin Harris, Katy Perry, Pharrell and Big Sean, whose "Feels" stays at #2 for a seventh non-consecutive week. "Feels" did at least get two chart weeks at #1.
Another two-week #1 recovers, as "Wild Thoughts" returns to the top 3. Rihanna has another song on the top 10 this week: "Desperado" from her album ANTI reaches a new #6 peak.
"Wild Thoughts" recovering means both Charlie Puth and French Montana drop one spot each with "Attention" and "Unforgettable" respectively. Both tracks have gone as high as #3.
Liam Payne and Quavo remain locked at #7, their current peak, with "Strip that Down". It's Quavo's second highest peaking entry to date, surpassing the #8 peak of DJ Khaled's "I'm The One" and the #11 high-point for Katy Perry's "Bon Appétit" (where he appears as part of Migos). It's only bested by Calvin Harris' "Slide" which also featured Migos.
Lorde's "Perfect Places" drops two to #8 after peaking at #4. It's followed by two new entries to the top 10. Kesha's "Praying" is up three to #9, while Portugal. The Man follows the #18 debut for "Feel It Still" with a jump to #10.
Below top 10, Imagine Dragons' "Thunder" continues it's slow climb, reaching #15 this week. Dua Lipa's "Hotter than Hell" finally reaches top 20 on it's 22nd chart week. The song has actually charted longer than her #1 feature on "No Lie" or her #2 peaking "Lost in Your Light". Rita Ora lands this week's Greatest Gainer distinction with "Your Song" jumping fourteen spots to #25. P!nk is the highest debut of the week at #38 for "What About Us", while Demi Lovato enters at #47 with "Sorry Not Sorry". Lovato is also featured in this week's #24, "Instruction" by Jax Jones.
