My Top 50 - 09/16/2018

September 16, 2018 | 50 songs

"Electricity" stays at #1, Chainsmokers and Calvin Harris reach new heights.

Silk City and Dua Lipa stay at #1 for a second week with "Electricity". The track debuted atop the chart last week and shows no signs of slowing down, increasing it's lead over #2 by a sizable margin. "God is a woman" keeps at #2 as a consequence, despite earning a healthy increase on it's own, after two weeks at #1 for Ariana Grande. Fellow Sweetener track and now confirmed third single "breathin" moves up 10-9 as well.

The Chainsmokers give Emily Warren her first top three hit as a credited singer, considering Warren has written multiple hits for the group, including "Paris" on which she had uncredited vocals. Warren has also written for other singers like Dua Lipa with "New Rules" commanding the chart for seven frames.

Post Malone moves back up to #4 with "Better Now", after reaching #3 a few weeks ago. Maroon 5 slides to #5 with "Girls Like You". Featured act Cardi B moves with Kehlani on "Ring" up to 22.

"Promises" moves up three to give Calvin Harris back to back hits at #6 and #7 with "One Kiss". Shakira and Maluma slide to #8 with "Clandestino" after having reached #6 for multiple frames. "Solo" closes top 10 this week, it's 18th on the chart.

Imagine Dragons and Cheat Codes look like probable top 10 entries, at #11 and #12 with "Natural" and "Only You". "Youngblood" gives 5 Seconds of Summer their first top 15 entry.
