My Top 50 - 10/15/2017

October 15, 2017 | 50 songs

Dua Lipa takes #1 back with "New Rules", dominates the chart with multiple entries.

In a surprise move, Dua Lipa returns to #1 with "New Rules" for an seventh non-consecutive week. The track is the longest reigning #1 since Rihanna and Drake also clocked seven weeks there with "Work" in early 2016. Next up for "Rules": "Hello". The Adele juggernaut spent 10 weeks at #1.

On it's tenth week, "Havana" continues it's impressive run by moving to #2. It's by far the highest charting track for both Young Thug and Camila Cabello (solo, considering she visited the top spot with Fifth Harmony on "Worth It" and "Work From Home").

"Thunder" follows at #3, outpeaking fellow EVOLVE track, "Whatever it Takes". "Takes" jumps to #23 this week following it's video release and confirmation of it being the third single from the album. It has gone as high as #4. Fellow single and former #1, "Believer" continues it's impressive longevity by jumping to #19 on it's 28th week.

Fifth Harmony's former leader "He Like That", their first without Camila Cabello, retreats to #4. Previous single "Down" continues an impressive resurgence by moving up to #21, almost beating it's previous peak of #19.

Rita Ora moves down from the top spot with "Your Song", down to #5, but her Avicci collaboration jumps inside the top 10 for the first time at #9.

Besties Taylor Swift and Lorde follow with "Look What You Made Me Do" and "Homemade Dynamite" at #6 and #7. One of the featured acts on the "Homemade" remix, SZA, is also featured on #8, Maroon 5's "What Lovers Do". Portugal. The Man closes the top 10 with "Feel It Still", which has gone as high as #5.

Just below, Charlie Puth follows his #2 hit "Attention" with a #14 debut for "How Long". Dua Lipa earns seven more entires this week, including former #1 "Be The One" which earns Greatest Gainer honors with a jump to #20, "Begging" which starts at #28 and re-entries by "No Lie", "Scared to Be Lonely" and "Blow Your Mind (Mwah)".
