My Top 50 - 11/04/2018

November 4, 2018 | 50 songs

"Lost in Japan" becomes Shawn Mendes' first #1 hit; LSD, BLACKPINK and Normani hit new peaks.

After 31 non-consecutive weeks at #1, "Lost in Japan" finally becomes Shawn Mendes' first #1 hit on the chart, surpassing it's previous high-point of #2, also matched by "In My Blood". The track returned to the chart thanks to a Zedd-produced mix, but it's the original version that accounts for most of it's points this week, for the first time since the remix was released.

At #2, steady, is "Electricity". The Silk City & Dua Lipa collaboration has yet to leave the top two spots. Three time champion "Happier" slides 1-3, for Marshmello and Bastille.

"Let You Love Me" by Rita Ora reaches a new #4 peak this week, barely holding off "Kiss and Make Up". The Dua Lipa track gives BLACKPINK their first top five entry.

Former #1 hit "breathin" slides to #6 this week. Closely following her pal Ariana Grande is Nicki Minaj with her Little Mix collaboration "Woman Like Me" at #7, up three. Dean Lewis' first entry on the chart continues moving in the right direction, as "Be Alright" is up one to #8.

LSD gets their first top 10 hit at #9 with "Thunderclouds". Sia has of course gone as high as #1 with "Cheap Thrills" and "The Greatest", and Diplo has already visited the region as part of Silk City and Major Lazer, but this marks Labrinth's first entry into the top 10.

After reaching #8 and slipping outside top 10, "Beautiful" by Bazzi and Camila Cabello returns at #10 this week. It holds off a surging "Without Me", which will mark Halsey's sixth  top 10 entry as early as next week, following "Closer", "Now or Never", "Strangers", "Bad at Love", "Him & I" and "Alone". Her collab with Benny Blanco, "Eastside", which also features Khalid, joins top 20 for the first time this week.

Also moving in the right direction? Charli XCX and Troye Sivan are up one with "1999" at #13, while Camila Cabello's "Consequences" is looking like it will become another top 10 hit for the singer at #14. Normani's "Slow Down" with Calvin Harris moves up to #16, besting her previous high point of #18 with "Love Lies", her collaboration with Khalid.

Cardi B gets two new top 25 hits as "Money" gets Greatest Gainer honors this week and "Taki Taki" with DJ Snake, Ozuna and Selena Gomez moves up five rungs.
