My Top 50 - 12/03/2017

December 3, 2017 | 50 songs

"Havana" ties "New Rules" for longest reign of 2017, Ed Sheeran and Demi Lovato set to fight for the top spot.

As predicted, "Havana" hangs on to #1 for a seventh week despite a points decrease. It now ties "New Rules" (still strong at #4 for Dua Lipa!) for longest reign of the year. Camila Cabello and Young Thug do the trick with seven consecutive weeks, while Dua Lipa got six weeks before vacating the top spot for Fifth Harmony, Rita Ora and Taylor Swift, and then returned for another week at the top spot.

Just below, "Sorry Not Sorry" gets thisclose to #1, but Demi Lovato has to settle for #2 again. "Perfect" earns Greatest Gainer honors by jumping 11 spots, giving Ed Sheeran his fourth consecutive top 3 hit from his latest album (and fifth this year if you add "End Game", down one to #6 this week). Look for both songs to battle "Havana" next week.

Calvin Harris "Faking It", the aforementioned "End Game" by Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran and Future, Imagine Dragons' "Thunder" and Charlie Puth's "How Long" all slide one spot to make way for "Perfect" this week.

Rita Ora celebrates her third top 10 hit with "Anywhere" jumping to #9 on it's sixth week. Maroon 5 and SZA close the top 10 once again with their #5 hit "What Lovers Do".

Selena Gomez and Marshmello get a new #13 peak with "Wolves", while two former top 10 hits recover significantly this week: "Be Mine" jumps five to #14 for Ofenbach, while the "Homemade Dynamite" remix by Lorde, Post Malone, Khalid and SZA also recovers five spots to #15. Halsey's "Bad at Love" might avoid the dreaded #11 peak it currently owns, as it jumps back to #16 with a strong bullet.

Several newer songs also make waves this week: Demi Lovato's next single "Tell Me You Love Me" jumps to #17 on it's third week, easily the strongest start yet for one of her songs. Post Malone earns his first credit as a lead with "rockstar" debuting at #32, while P!nk starts at #34 with "Beautiful Trauma".

Last but not least, Shawn Mendes earns a new peak at #21 on the 25th chart week for "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back".
