My Top 50 12/31/2017

December 31, 2017 | 50 songs

"Havana" returns to #1 as 2017's biggest hits return to the chart.

With a lot of older songs overtaking more current hits due to year-end plays, "Havana" re-takes #1 for a ninth non-consecutive week. The Camila Cabello and Young Thug collaboration swaps places with this week's #3, "Perfect".

Ed Sheeran can still claim multiple top 20 entries this week, not only because of #7, Taylor Swift's "End Game", but also because "Shape of You" returns to the top 20 at exactly #20.

Dua Lipa's "New Rules" is still sandwiched between those two smashes at #2, but Lipa earns Greatest Gainer this week as her smash "Be The One" rides the end of the year all the way up to #11, jumping fifteen places.

"Sorry Not Sorry" recovers one spot for Demi Lovato, while next single "Tell Me You Love Me" drops out of the top 10, at least for now, down to #12.

Selena Gomez gives Marshmello his first top 5 hit, as "Wolves" jumps two to #5. "It Ain't Me", Selena's only #1 hit of the year re-enters at #44.

Lorde, SZA, Khalid and Post Malone jump one spot with "Homemade Dynamite", while Rita Ora returns to her #9 peak with "Anywhere". Former 3-week #1, "Look What You Made Me Do" re-enters the top 10 this week.

Looking like hits for 2018 just below the top 10? At #13 you'll find "Never Be The Same" by Camila Cabello, while "Him & I" by G-Eazy and Halsey" moves up one to #17.

Only six of the twenty one 2017 #1 hits do not re-enter or chart this week: "Hard Times" by Paramore (1 week at #1), Clean Bandit's collab with Zara Larsson, "Symphony" (4 weeks at #1), Sean Paul and Dua Lipa's "No Lie" (1 week), The Chainsmokers' "Paris) (1 week at #1), Carlos Vives and Shakira's "La Bicicleta" (1 week in 2017 at #1) and Bebe Rexha's "I Got You" (1 week at #1).
