Bulgaria's Hottest 10 Singles (W/E 19/12/2019)

This is an unofficial chart, compiled by me, highlighting the 10 biggest tracks in Bulgaria right now. Due to the lack of an official Bulgarian singles chart, apart from an airplay only one, this is the closest thing we can get to a true representation of the musical landscape in the country. The data is based on Spotify/Apple Music streams, YouTube views, and airplay data, all coming from official sources.

Highlights of the week:

In perhaps the busiest chart of the year, 'Dance Monkey' edges out yet another week at the top, experiencing a 1% increase in overall performance, including on-demand streams and airplay.
Climbing 11-2 with 'Heartless' and debuting at #3 with 'Blinding Lights' last week, The Weeknd holds down both his positions in the top 3.
This week's highest new entry comes from Lidia & Dessita - the two Bulgarian singers made strides with their smash hit 'Боже мой' (Oh my God) earlier this year, just missing out on a top 40 placement - now back with their brand new offering 'Излъжи ме' (Lie to me), featuring Bulgarian female rapper Diona, the song is coming in at #4.
Another new entry in the top 5, rapper Boro Purvi released his new album 'Superboro' last week, claiming the #1 album today, and also three top 20 songs - brand new single 'Куча марка' starts at #5 and 'Майко майко', previously having peaked at #11, shoots up 43-6.
Dua Lipa continues her rampant increases in airplay, causing her to rebound 9-7 with 'Don't Start Now' - the single is #2 in airplay this week, lagging just behind Bulgarian girl group 4Magic with their single 'Вселена' (Universe), which enters the top 40 this week at #38.
A great loss in the music scene this week, Juice WRLD's unfortunate passing causes his catalog to skyrocket up the chart - 'Lucid Dreams' returns at #8, beating its previous peak of #9, which it reached last summer; other singles of his include 'Bandit' returning at #32, and 'Hate Me' with Ellie Goulding, at #36.
Rounding off the top 10, Billie Eilish drops 6-9 with 'everything i wanted', and Bulgarian pop singer DARA falls 5-10 with 'Ella Ella'.
