Mercury Distinguished 50

September 22, 2017 | 50 songs

* Amidst a heavy volume week, Blue Hawaii's "Lilac" defends its #1 position for an eleventh straight week; now sharing the record for longest-running #1 with Wolfsheim's "The Sparrows and the Nightingales."

* Alice in Videoland's "Something New" edges out Feather's "Land of the Innocent" to sever the latter's run at #2.

* vivienxo's "TTYN" jumps seventeen places to finish at a strong #4.

* TR/ST's "Sulk" sits stationary at #5, marking the fifth consecutive week of being rangebound between the #5 and #6 positions.

* Kokoko! reaches new heights with "Tokoliana" moving up to #6; while Coska achieves their first foray into the top ten with "Nightdrive" settling at #10.

* Marsheaux's "Secret Place" marks the only re-entry for the week, claiming #43 and its third re-entry into the charts since initially dropping out.

* Out of this week's six new entries, Ministry takes the top spot with the aggressive "Golden Dawn" debuting at #24. However, two other Ministry songs, "Effigy (I'm Not An)" and "Stigmata," fell off the charts, the former after a thirty-five consecutive week run.

* Marsheaux's "August Day" celebrates its fortieth straight week in the charts on a positive note, rising ten to #38. Meanwhile, Ministry's "Revenge" hits week 39 and climbs twelve to #20.

* Austra's Home reaches its highest position since late June, climbing another three places to #12. "Home" has not been in the top ten since early June.

* After falling for every week since its debut, Marsheaux's "To the End" finally bounces back with a sixteen position surge to #11.
