Chart

Braintree Top 40

It's another week at #1 for Jess Glynne as "All I Am" stays on top for a 2nd week, thanks to Josh, Celina, and Emily.  The Australian pop renaissance continues to rise as "Youngblood" improves to #2, "Be Alright" stays in the top 5 at #4, and "Healing Hands" jumps 4 spots to #6.  "No Roots" jumps back into the top ten again, thanks to Daina, while "I'll Be There" returns at #10 after one week outside.

Ariana Grande just misses the top ten with "God is a woman," which reaches a new peak of #11.  She also sees a new song from sweetener debut as "breathin" arrives at #35.  RIght above it at #34 is her collaboration with Troye Sivan, "Dance to This".  The top debut goes to Kina Grannis's "White Winter Hymnal" at #17.  This is solely because Celina saw the singer in Crazy Rich Asians this week and remembered how much she loved her.

One fun fact I'd like to point out is that somehow Aretha Franklin continues to barely stay on the chart, mostly because of Breagh.  And when I say barely, I mean BARELY.  The chart run of "Respect" so far has been 39-40-39.  "Babe" by Sugarland featuring Taylor Swift finally makes the chart after bubbling under for multiple weeks at #40.

Emm!e has returned to her monastic life and has banned music from entering her ears this week.  Catie and Sara listened to music, but nothing that made a difference.  While Daina only listened to about 6 songs, 4 of them got enough plays to chart.  Aside from "No Roots," she also gave "Cherry Lips" a new peak of #14 and got "Big Houses" and "Pretty Little Head" to re-enter at #27 and #28, respectively.  Celina played the Braintree Top 40 for most of the week until she remembered Kina Grannis and has now listened to just her for an entire day now.  Emily listened to meditation music mostly as well as New Music Friday and Braintree Top 40.  Her biggest contribution was keeping "Masterpiece" on the chart at #32 as well as giving her favorite Spanish singer, Alvaro Soler, another chart hit as "Ella" debuts at #37.  Aside from Aretha, Breagh got The Doobie Brothers to #5 on the Bubbling Under and that's about it.

Next week, we see the release of the highly anticipated album, Bloom, by Troye Sivan.  The album already has two #1 on it with "My My My!" and "Bloom".  Could a third one be on the way?  There's also new releases from MNEK, Bhad Bhabie, and Havana Brown could shake up the chart.  Let's be real though, Troye Sivan is gonna be the biggest this next week and we all know it.  Can he dethrone the Queen of #1, Jess Glynne?  Find out next week on the Braintree Top 40!

Here is this week's Bubbling Under:

1. Liam Payne - Slow

2. Christine and the Queens - La Marcheuse

3. Ofenbach - Paradise (feat. Benjamin Ingrosso)

4. LANY - I Don't Wanna Love You Anymore

5. The Doobie Brothers - Black Water
