Hey Piran! 'Antisocial' has done incredibly well on my charts, its run at #1 only being beaten by Lauren Jauregui's 'Expectations' with 6 weeks, 'Havana' and 'Lesley' with 8 weeks and 'God is a woman' with 10, but I think this will be its last week at #1. Both 'Take Me Back to London (Sir Spyro Remix)' and 'Circles' are fighting for #1 as well next week, and then 'Hollywood's Bleeding' will be out and I think that'll dominate the chart for quite some time. As for 'Take Me Back to London', I did enjoy the regular remix well enough, but I still preferred the original. It was the Sir Spyro remix that really gave it a massive boost for me - his beats really breathe a new life into the song for me! I think 'Finders Keepers' may be the longest wait between 1st debuting on my charts and reaching a new peak, but in the entire year prior to 'High Expectations' release I only listened to the track twice, so I was essentially re-discovering the track in an even more positive context when the album released! 'Post Malone' should climb next week, but 'fuck, i'm lonely' might dip a little bit. Yeah, I definitely agree that the deep album cuts are significantly better than the singles for Taylor - I never would've expected 'Lover' to get a Top 5 debut a couple of weeks ago either! I can see 'Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince' climbing a little next week, but sadly the others will most likely fall. 'Torn' might manage to climb as well; 'Slow Dance' actually debuted at #38 a couple of weeks ago, but it was only able to last the 1 week. Thanks for the comment! :D
Hey Gameskiller! I'm loving this new chart of yours! Cool to see 'Antisocial' at number 1 this week, but I'm not a fan of seeing the Sir Spyro remix of "Take Me Back to London" at #2. I really like the original, as well as the remix with Jaykae and Aitch, but no, I'm not a fan of the Sir Spyro remix. Oh well, it's great to see 'I'm lonely' get into the top 10 finally, as well as the five Taylor Swift songs lower down (Lover as an album was pretty solid for me), but the best part for me would be... Surprise surprise, 'Post Malone' at #7 (yippee!!) How high will it reach in your charts in these upcoming weeks? Elsewhere, the climbs for 'Outnumbered' and 'Goodbyes' are exciting to see. Regarding the latter, I can expect the track to climb given that Post is gonna release his third studio album (I am hyped). I'd love it if you could check out my newest chart as well when you get the chance. Great chart again! ;)
Hey CoolOcelot! 'Antisocial's done great on my charts with 5 non-consecutive weeks at #1, making it the 5th longest running #1 ever, but I think this will be its last week at #1. Both 'Take Me Back to London (Sir Spyro Remix)' and 'Circles' are battling it for #1 next week, and I don't think 'Antisocial' will be able to win. As for 'Take Me Back to London', I didn't mind the regular remix, but I didn't like it as much as the original. It was Sir Spyro's beats that really improved the song and breathed a new life into it for me! 'fuck, i'm lonely' might only manage this 1 week in the Top 10, but at least it got there eventually, and 'Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince' is the only Taylor song likely to climb next week. I thought 'Lover' was pretty solid as well, though I did prefer 'reputation'. As for 'Post Malone', it will definitely be climbing next week, almost definitely into the Top 5 and possibly into the Top 3! However, as you mentioned the artist is releasing his 3rd album this Friday, so I think the track will have a very hard time staying that high amid the 'Hollywood's Bleeding' album bomb. It could potentially be one of only a few non-Post tracks to stay in the Top 10 that week, though! Thanks for the comment! :D
Hey Gameskiller! :)
I don't mind seeing 'Antisocial' remain at #1, but I'm honestly a little mixed on that big gain for 'Take Me Back To London'! I did like the original for the latter, but I wasn't really a fan of the remix at all.
It honestly feels weird seeing 'Finders Keepers' hit a new peak now, since it was released in May 2017, but I'm not exactly complaining as I still enjoy the song!
Elsewhere in the Top 10, I love the debut for 'Post Malone', as well as 'Fuck, I'm Lonely' breaking into the region for the first time.
Although, all of the above is eclipsed by... surprise surprise... Taylor Swift! I think we can both agree that despite not making the best single choices for the most part, she definitely made up for it with the deeper cuts from the album. It's so good to see it finish with a Top 5 debut in your albums chart, which is admittedly something I never would've expected even a week or two ago!
'Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince' being the top debut is really good, but 'Cruel Summer' would be my favourite song of hers on your chart this week by a long way.
Other than that, I'm also happy to see 'Torn' debut! Have you heard her other new song, 'Slow Dance'. with AJ Mitchell yet? I could see this ending up on your charts too!
I'm sure we'll talk more later on the OCC, but if not, have an awesome weekend.
