In Week Twenty-Nine, "Lucid Dreams" by Juice WRLD completes the longest rise to the top of the charts as it lifts one spot. "Lucid Dreams" debuted on the charts and quickly shot up the chart due to its strength from streaming, but then it stalled out in the middle of the top ten as its streaming numbers fell slightly; however, its radio airplay push to both urban, rhytmic, and pop radio and helped boost the song to the top of the chart. Taking seventeen weeks to get to the top of the chart, it beats "I Like It" by Cardi B, which took fifteen weeks to reach the top after it was released as an official single. "Lucid Dreams" dethrones Drake's "In My Feelings" which has stalled in its radio surge and begun to drop down in its streaming numbers. At number three, "Better Now" by Post Malone skips one spot likewise in its seventeenth week on the chart as it moves up in radio airplay. "Girls Like You" drops to number four, but still keeps a steady showing on radio airplay and basically mimics its number from the last week. "Love Lies" pushes up one spot, likewise in its seventeenth week on the chart as it nears the top of pop radio airplay. The top five of the chart is filled with enduring hits that are all over ten weeks on the chart, proof that slow and steady gains are still possible in such a quick turnover streaming age. "Lucky You" by Eminem featuring Joyner Lucas debuts at number nine off the strength of Eminem's surprise album release Kamikaze. "Back To You" by Selena Gomez moves into the top ten of the chart for the first time, likewise in its seventeenth week, as it continues to gain in pop radio airplay. The seventeenth week anomaly is to be expected, as exactly seventeen weeks ago ten positions were added to the chart and all four songs debuted that week. 5 Seconds of Summer's "Youngblood" hkes up two spots this week and looks prime to continue its upward momentum as it gains in radio airplay. Previous number one, "Nonstop" by Drake dashes up two spots as it maintains its strong streaming numbers while being promoted to urban and rhythmic radio. "Psycho" by Post Malone stays on the chart again for a twenty-eighth week, continueing its reign for the longest stay on the entire chart. *New Chart Rules: starting this week due to the lengthy stay of multiple songs, any song that has been on the chart more than twenty weeks and ranks below position twenty will be removed from the chart.* This week that affects "Nice For What" by Drake which fell below position twenty and was in its twenty-second week. At number twenty this week, "Eastside", the debut single by benny blanco featuring Halsey and Khalid hikes three spots in its fifth week on the chart. Eminem sends another track from Kamikaze onto the chart as "The Ringer" debuts at number twenty-two off of mainly streaming numbers. Imagine Dragon's "Natural" leaps four spots as the college-football promoted single benefits from the beginning of college footbal. In its second week on the chart, Marshmello and Bastille's "Happier" skips one spot to a new peak of twenty-five. Underneath is Childish Gambino's "Feels Like Summer" which benefits from a newly released music video for the song after it was released months ago. Likewise jumping up is Weezer's "Africa" which benefits from a one position jump to number twenty-seventh. With the new recurreny rule in effect today, it frees spots for the lower songs to rise up, like "I Like Me Better", which rises one spot after it looked primed to fall off the chart last week. Looking forward to next week, the battle for number one seems to be a tight race as Post Malone's "Better Now" fights "Lucid Dreams" by Juice WRLD for the top spot. Likewise, "Psycho" and "I Like Me Better" appear to be close to their last weeks on the chart as "Psycho" nears recurrency at number twenty and "I Like Me Better" falls to the bottom of the chart.
