Chart

Billboard Hot 40

On this week's chart, Lil Baby collects his second number one single as his own "The Bigger Picture" lifts up one spot to the top spot. "The Bigger Picture" debuted last week at number two with robust streaming numbers; however, it was denied the top spot by the debut of 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj's first number one on the chart with "Trollz", which largely relied on digital sales to gain the top spot. This week, "The Bigger Picture" still slides in streaming numbers from its debut week, but manages to garner enough streaming to still move into the top spot. "The Bigger Picture" escapes a curse it seem to set last week. No song had ever debuted in the number two position, and only one song, "Freaky Friday" by Lil Dicky featuring Chris Brown, has ever peaked in the number two spot. "The Bigger Picture" is a rare song to reach number one as it is not an official single being pushed by Lil Baby. As Lil Baby raps about racism in America, it seems the song solely connected with streaming audiences. This seems to be the case with another Lil Baby song rising quickly up the charts, "We Paid" featuring 42 Dugg, as Lil Baby is rather pushing "Emotionally Scarred" as the next radio single from his album instead. At number two, Dababy featuring Roddy Ricch rises up one spot due to large radio gains and steady streaming. In the following week, and possibly weeks, "Rockstar" looks to return and maybe spend more weeks at number one. Barring any new releases, "Rockstar" is the favorite to spend at number one due to the release of the song's official music video in the following week. Justin Bieber featuring Quavo return to their peak position of number three with "Intentions". The surprise and enduring hit for Justin Bieber hits the high mark in its twentieth week, a complete turn of luck and showing after previous single "Yummy" debuted at number one and quickly fell down the charts. While "Intentions" looks to be peaking on radio, it does not appear the song will be able to hit the number one position as "Yummy" did; however, "Intentions" has still proven to be the bigger hit between the two due to longeivity. Meghan Thee Stallion featuring Beyonce rise up one spot to number four with their previous number one "Savage (Remix). "Blinding Lights" by the Weeknd returns to the top five for its fourteenth total week in the region. After growing into an organic hit and taking sixteen weeks to hit number one, "Blinding Lights" has proved itself to be an extremely enduring hit due to steady streaming along with an uncanny run at the top of the radio airwaves. Already in its twenty-ninth week on the chart, "Blinding Lights" has been as consistent as previous enduring hit "Circles" by Post Malone, which lifted back into the top five in its thirieth week. Next at number six is another previous number, "Rain On Me" by Lady Gaga featuring Ariana Grande. Similarly to Justin Bieber with their second singles, "Rain On Me" has already showed impressively better longeitvity than lead single "Stupid Love". At number seven, Saint JHN's "Roses (Imanbek Remix)" shoots up three spots to a new peak after being bogged down two spots last week with the debut of "The Bigger Picture". "Roses" has been consistently gaining at radio along with a strong showing in streaming and should gain in the coming week. Doja Cat's breakout number one hit "Say So" drops one spot to number eight just ahead of Lil Mosey's "Blueberry Faygo", which reenters the top ten for the fourth time and repeaks for the second time. Finally, Trevor Daniel's "Falling" bounces up two spots to hit the region for the first time in the song's thirty week chart history. "Falling" completes the longest ride to the top ten in chart history as it following an uncanny rise to the region. After becoming popular on TikTok, "Falling" rose to a peak of number fourteen in its seventh week off of mainly streaming numbers. After its streaming subsided, "Falling" dropped all the way to number twenty-four in its seventeeth week while the song continued to decrease in streaming. Following that week, "Falling" rose up due to a radio push. In its twenty-first week, "Falling" rose one spot to number twenty, just barely missing recurrency status, and stayed there for another two weeks, teetering on the edge of falling off the chart. Seven weeks later, "Falling" hits the top ten this week. Elsewhere within the chart, "WHATS POPPIN" by Jack Harlow bounds up six spots to number twelve following the midweek release of the remix featuring Dababy, Tory Lanez, and Lil Wayne. "WHATS POPPIN" looks to hit the top ten and continue rising within the coming weeks. Harry Styles' "Watermelon Sugar" leaps seven spots to a new peak of number sixteen. Gabby Barret makes a play to escape recurrency as "I Hope" leaps five spots to number twenty-two in its twentieth week on the chart. Lewis Capaldi hits a new high of number twenty four with "Before You Go" and the previously mentioned "We Paid" jumps seven spots to number twenty-five. Two previous number ones plummet this week as Drake's "Toosie Slides" falls eleven spots following a collapse at radio while 6ix9ine and Nicki Minaj's "TROLLZ" falls twenty six spots, a new record for drop.
