Chart

James' Top 20 - June 12, 2014

Notes:

  • "Habits (Stay High)" by: Tove Lo spends its 6th week atop the chart, but its lead is diminishing fast. "Rude" by: MAGIC! & "Words as Weapons" by: Seether are making gains for the #1 spot very quickly, while "Habits (Stay High)" is starting to slow down from its fast start. With the song's 6th week atop the chart, it becomes the longest #1 of the year. This beats out the 5 weeks that "Top of the World" by: Mike Posner (feat. Big Sean) spent at the top in February & March this year.
  • "Rude" by: MAGIC! spends yet another week at #2 on the chart. Things are looking very good for the song to take the top next week.
  • "Words as Weapons" by: Seether moves 4-3 for a new peak this week. This also has a shot at #1 next week. It'll be a close battle next week for the Top 3.
  • "Back Home" by: Andy Grammer flies 11-8 to get back its peak. It dropped 8-11 last week, but it goes vice-versa this week with a nice +6 play increase.
  • OneRepublic's "Love Runs Out" goes 10-9 to gain a new peak. It breaks free from "Peace" by: O.A.R. (slides 9-12), where the song spent every week one behind "Peace". Next week could see a big gain for the song (and a resurgence of "Counting Stars") since I'm going to their concert next week (yay!).
  • Andrew Ripp scores the lone debut of the week with "Falling for the Beat" coming in at a sizzling #11 debut. It spent quite some time on the On the Rise chart (approx. 4 weeks) and saw some major movements the past few weeks. It gained a +27 play increase over the last two weeks. This could be a major player on the charts in a few weeks time. Andrew also has another song on the On the Rise chart with "Cool Ya (Nobody Loves You Like I Do)" that could see some time on the charts soon.
  • "Am I Wrong" by: Nico & Vinz climbs 14-13 in its second week for a new peak.
  • "Good as Gold" by: Talay Riley (feat. Scorcher) saves itself from elimination yet again this week going 20-18 with a +3 play increase. It has been in danger for the last few months, but has saved itself every week.
  • Wallpaper. falls off the chart with "Hesher" this week, dropping from #17. The song spent 3 weeks atop the chart in March and has finally seen the end to its run. It had been in the chart every week since its debut in August 2013. Wallpaper. is in danger of losing another song with "Life of the Party" sitting at #20.
  • Next week will be another close week for the #17-#20 spots. With likely another debut coming in, one of them could see their lengthy runs coming to an end next week.
