Chart

Joseph's Hit 40

This week sees the first all-new top 2 in my chart since Louis Tomlinson & Steve Aoki debuted at #1 a week before Christmas, with Nemo Schiffman new in at #2. FO&O claim their first #1 with Gotta Thing About You, which is also their second top 10 hit and third top 20. Previously, they charted under the name The Fooo Conspiracy, with 'Fooo' standing for their initials - Felix, Omar and two Oscars. Oscar Molander left the group at the end of last year, leaving the trio to continue under new name FO&O, or Felix, Oscar & Omar. Their first chart hit was My Girl last year, which debuted and peaked at #7. Follow-up Summer Love failed to chart, but their final single as a four-piece, Who Doesn't Love Love made it to #20. Gotta Thing About You is currently a contender for the Swedish Eurovision entry, taking part in Melodifestivalen.

Up 8 places this week into the top 3 are Kygo and Selena Gomez, who have teamed up for new single It Ain't Me. It's Kygo's third top 10 hit, following Firestone (#2) and Stay (#4), and Selena's eighth top 10 hit, with her highest being the #1 peak achieved by We Don't Talk Anymore. Selena managed four top 10 hits out of four singles from her previous album Revival, and It Ain't Me instantly out peaks all but one of them, with only Good For You making it higher (#2).

Despite having only achieved one previous solo top 10 hit, Bebe Rexha's new EP debuts at #1 in the album chart very comfortably, and its impact spills into the singles chart too. G-Eazy collaboration F.F.F. is not a single yet but it's already a top 10 hit, matching the #6 peak achieved by No Broken Hearts last year. Current single I Got You also re-enters at #19, a new peak. F.F.F. is Bebe's third top 10 hit overall, and G-Eazy's fourth. Interestingly, their previous collaboration Me, Myself & I never made my chart!

Maty Noyes had a great 2016 in my chart, with the aforementioned Kygo collaboration Stay, for which she provided vocals, being a top 5 hit, as well as debut solo single In My Mind becoming her first chart topper. She released a brand new single last week entitled London, and whilst it's totally different to (and way more barmier than) In My Mind, it's a great song and secures a debut of #8 this week.

Also taking part in Melodifestivalen, alongside FO&O above, is Anton Hagman, a newcomer to the music industry. His single, Kiss You Goodbye, debuts at #2 this week, marking the first occasion of having two Eurovision-related songs in my top 2. Anton is one of only two artists making their debut this week, alongside All Time Low who are new at #20 with Dirty Laundry.

The Beach completes the list of new top 10 hits this week, as Bite My Tongue bounces up 30 places to a new peak of #10. It's his second top 10 hit, after Geronimo made #6 last year.

Other new entries come from established artists including Ed Sheeran, Sia and Hunter Hayes, while Rag'n'Bone Man matches his personal best with Skin and James TW instantly outpeaks his last hit, as Ex debuts at #14.
