KC's Top 50

The Weeknd's "Take My Breath" is stationary at No. 1 for a third week, right behind it is Matt Maltese with his breakout hit "As The World Caves In" at No. 2.

Other notable notes:

The Midnight rush 13-6 with "Good in Red," it becomes their second Top 10 hit following "Neon Medusa" which peaked at No. 8 in August.

Timecop1983 & The Bad Dreamers' "Back To You" falls 6-8 but spends a 37th consecutive week in the Top 10, tying BENEE's "Supalonely" for the second most weeks in the Top 10. The Weeknd's "Blinding Lights" holds the record with 39 weeks (2019-2021). "Back To You" spent a record-breaking 16 weeks at number-one from March to June this year.

Starset fly 23-10 with "INFECTED," it becomes their second Top 10 hit after "Monster" which reached No. 4 in January 2017. They reached as high as No. 15 earlier this year with "MANIFEST." Their new single "THE BREACH" also debuts at No. 25 a head of their album release next month.

Glass Animals reenter at No. 30 with "Heat Waves," the song peaked at No. 15 earlier this summer and capped 20 weeks before falling off the chart. The song reentering is from a new surge of streams this week. This is the fifth time this has happened in the chart's history, in 2019 both Cashmere Cat and Hackman took their 2017 hits "Mirror Maru" and "Forgotten Notes" to bigger and better heights, both songs reached No. 10 and No. 5 respectively in their original runs but ended up hitting No. 8 and No. 1 in their second chart runs. Katy Perry did this last year when her 2019 hit "Harleys in Hawaii" reached No. 1 after the release of her album "Smile," the track originally debuted and peaked at No. 3. Ironically enough "Harleys" is experiencing it's own surge in streams right now, and may or may not reenter the chart eventually. Lastly, Dua Lipa's "Levitating" reentered the chart at No. 6 in April and peaked at No. 2 a month later, the song originally reached No. 7 late last year and fell off the chart in early March before it's surge in popularity brought it back to the chart. Becoming one of the biggest hits of 2021. Will "Heat Waves" surpass it's original peak? Stay tuned.
