B*Witched and Robbie Williams continue to fight for Number 1

B*Witched celebrate a second consecutive week at Number 1 with C’est La Vie. The single took a long time to reach the peak of the summit, being held in the second position for four weeks. The girls face competition from Robbie Williams with Millennium. The English singer seeks to reclaim the crown position, as he spent one week above the list with this single. B*Witched also receives a Platinum Certification for C’est La Vie. The single became the girls’ breakthrough on the single and aided the success of B*Witched their eponymous debut album. As of this week, the single has amassed over 65,000 points.

Boyzone jump into the Top 10 with No Matter What. The single was last week’s highest debut. The single is the fifth release from the boys’ album “Where We Belong”. The new single marks Boyzone their tenth Top 10-hit. The boys have the most singles to reach the Top 10, which the likes of the Spice Girls or Céline Dion cannot match. No Matter What is already an international success, having peaked at Number 1 in the United Kingdom and the native Ireland. On this list, the single peaks at Number 6 this week.

Volumia! scores the highest debut of the week. Volumia is pop group from the Netherlands consisting of nine members. The group is led by pianist and singer Xander de Buisonjé. The group became a national success with their debut album “Volumia!”, Subsequent singles such as Afscheid and Het Is Over. The group had minor success on this list before, with Afscheid as their best-scoring single to date. Volumia! now enters with Hou Me Vast. The song is already a big hit in the native the Netherlands. On this list, the single debuts at Number 15. The song is already their highest-peaking single to date.

Billie Piper receives a Platinum Certification for her hit single Because We Want To. Her single became Billie Piper her breakthrough on this list, skyrocketing to Number 1. The song spent one week above the list and continued to fight the Spice Girls to reclaim the crown position. Her debut album “Honey to the B” is a success as well, spawning the new single Girlfriend.
