TLC score their massive second Number 1, following their 1995-hit

TLC climb to their second Number 1-hit with No Scrubs, which has been their comeback single after a four year-hiatus. The song has already topped the Billboard Hot 100 and sold over one million copies. On this list, TLC scored their first chart-topper with Creep in February 1995. The song spent two weeks above the list, reached over 80,000 points and was the sixth-best-scoring single of its year. TLC easily strips Britney Spears of her crown, whom spent eight consecutive weeks reigning the list with …Baby One More Time. TLC is expected to hold its position next week.

Steps, Tina Cousins, Cleopatra, B*Witched and Billie Piper step into the Top 10 with their tribute single to ABBA from the ’99 Brit Awards; Thank ABBA For the Music. The hit single is already a huge success in multiple European countries. The medley marks Steps their third Top 10-single following hits such as 5,6,7,8. For both Cleopatra and Tina Cousins, the single is the act’s second entry within the Top 10. The song is both B*Witched and Billie Piper their fifth consecutive Top 10-hit. Coincidentally, B*Witched and Billie Piper both scored one Number 1-hit last year. Now, Thank ABBA For the Music peaks at Number 10 this week.

*NSYNC score the highest debut of the week. The boy band is no strangers to this list, as the boys scored big hits with I Want You Back and Tearin’ Up My Heart. The second song of those two is even one of the best-scoring singles of all time. *NSYNC spiraled into legal battles this year. *NSYNC sued their manager Pearlman and his record company, “Trans Continental”, for defrauding the group of more than fifty percent of their earnings. Nonetheless, *NSYNC is now having big success. This week, the boys score their fifth Top 40-hit with (God Must Have Spent) A Little More Time. The new single opens at Number 23.

S Club 7 receive a Gold Certification for Bring It All Back. he feel-good song follows the trend of extremely happy British music, much like the hits of Steps, Billie Piper and B*Witched. S Club 7 is a mixed club managed by Simon Fuller, the man behind the success of the Spice Girls. Their debut single Bring It All Back is already an international hit, especially in the United Kingdom. S Club 7 announced more singles will be following. As of this week, their debut song has scored over 40,000 points.

Lenny Kravitz receives a Platinum Certification for Fly Away. The song is already one of this year its biggest hits. The American singer-songwriter has already scored big hits, but none is as big as this one. On this list, the single spent two non-consecutive weeks at Number 2 behind When You’re Gone by Bryan Adams with ex-Sporty Spice Melanie C, and …Baby One More Time by Britney Spears. As of this week, Lenny Kravitz his breakthrough single has amassed over 65,000 points.
