My Top 50

March 15, 2019 | 50 songs

Thomas Rhett holds at #1 for a second week with "Look What God Gave Her". However, A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie is closing the gap with "Look Back At It", as it rises 5-2. J-pop group DA PUMP debuts at #9 with "Sakura". It is their first Top 10 hit ("U.S.A." peaked at #2). MAG!C☆PRINCE ties the record for most non-consecutive Top 10 weeks with kirstin's "Break a Little" (17 weeks).

Debuts come from Louis Tomlinson (RIP Félicité), AKB48, Maren Morris, Kelsea Ballerini, and Norwegian singer Sigrid, who has her album 'Sucker Punch' impact. Speaking of Sigrid, "Strangers" just misses a re-entry into the Top 10, as it rises 40-11.

Continuing in the western dominance, western artists take the Top 5 for a third week in a row. Pop ties with J-pop for the top genre; however, Japan leads as the top country.

Next week, look for A Boogie Wit Da Hoodie possibly taking the #1, to be the first rap/hip-hop #1 since October of 2018.

I got to say, I'm really impressed by this chart! :) I like that 'Look What God Gave Her' remains at #1, with 'Look Back At It' challenging it next week. It's cool to see 'Update' back in the Top 10, 'Sweet But Psycho' enter the Top 20 & especially that 'Strangers' is the biggest climber at #11! I'm definitely loving the debuts for: 'Two Of Us', 'Sucker Punch', 'Don't Feel Like Crying' & 'Miss Me More'. In the bubbling under, my favourites are 'Never Mine' & 'Faucet Failure'! I look forward to the next chart & I'll talk to you later.
