Billboard Hot 100 (November 9, 2019)

November 9, 2019 | 10 songs | No points

- Almost 11 years after her first chart entry, Selena Gomez secures her first Hot 100 leader (& eighth Top 10), as 'Lose You To Love Me' soars 15-1 in its first full week of tracking.

- The song remains atop the Digital Song Sales chart for a second consecutive week with 39,000 downloads, while it also takes the top spot on Streaming Songs with 38.8 million streams for the tracking week (as well as being the greatest gainer there).

- While 'Someone You Loved' by Lewis Capaldi loses the #1 spot after just one week, falling to #2, it does become his first #1 on Radio Songs with a weekly audience of 101.2 million!

- Completing the Top 5 is: 'Circles' by Post Malone (4-3, new peak), 'Senorita' by Shawn Mendes & Camila Cabello (3-4) & 'Truth Hurts' by Lizzo (2-5).

- Lizzo also appears at #6 with her second Top 10, as 'Good As Hell' vaults 14-6 thanks to a remix with Ariana Grande. Despite being both the top sales & airplay gainer of the week, Ariana will remain uncredited for this song's chart run.

- 'Follow God' by Kanye West is the top debut of the week, entering the chart at #7! It's his 18th Top 10 appearance.

- Rounding out the Top 10 are: 'No Guidance' by Chris Brown ft Drake, 'Panini' by Lil Nas X (6-9) & 'Bad Guy' by Billie Eilish (9-10). The latter becomes the longest running Top 10 single by a lead female this century & is also only the ninth song to reach the 30 week milestone inside the Top 10.

- The Top 10 in full is posted below, but check beneath the chart for other positions announced elsewhere in the new chart!

- Thanks for reading everyone! :)

I adore Lose You To Love Me as America's #1!!! I'm also expecting Circles to do well. Kudos to Follow God, one of the only good songs on JESUS IS KING, but Good As Hell... eh. Truth Hurts is starting to drop, is it getting old yet?

Hey Coolocelot! :) We'll just chat here until the new Hot 100 posts, if it's even coming tonight, since they occasionally forget to post it, haha. I totally agree regarding 'Lose You To Love Me', although I think it'll be a three-way battle between that. 'Someone You Loved' & 'Circles' for the #1 spot next week! Yeah, if any song from 'Jesus Is King' was going to make the Top 10, I'm at least glad that it's 'Follow God', since the song is at least okay. I'm certainly getting tired of 'Truth Hurts', but I know you're still loving it a lot. It seems like US radio has definitely peaked for it though, so I expect it to keep falling from now on!

Yeah, that must be the plan, and I think by the time it's posted I'll be up late! Man, it would have been fun as usual! :P I think Circles or SYL will most likely be leading the three-way. Selena might be steadily falling, but I'm not sure, I haven't checked the status. It shouldn't fall too far though! Not like Homicide by Logic & Eminem, when it went straight in at #5 but started dropping! Regarding Truth Hurts, I'm still thinking it's great, but I predict it'll start to get old despite not being as big as it was now.

Haha, it's funny how the article got published literally just after you posted this comment! :) It was certainly a fun of tonight, but I'm sorry about a lot of your comments deleted! At least we got to chat for a bit, which is even better since the Top 10 was mostly impressive too, especially that amazing new #1. I do have the unfortunate feeling that this'll be 'Lose You To Love Me's only week at the top, but at least it got there in the first place & 'Circles' will probably be the song to replace it next week! Thanks again for stopping by Headline Planet tonight.

I like that Selena Gomez has a #1, I hope "Circles" reaches #1 next week! Also good to see "Good As Hell" in there! My ranking (preference) of these songs: Lose You To Love Me > Circles > Good To Hell > Senorita > Bad Guy > Truth Hurts > Panini > Someone You Loved > No Guidance > Follow God (Really, I don't like Kanye's new album at all, "Use This Gospel" was the only decent song in there, the rest is either meh, bad or horrible)
