The Biggest Songs Of The Week!

Kate Bush now makes it 9 consecutive weeks at the top with “Running up that hill” (it now matches “Blinding Lights” by The Weeknd’s 9 week stint at no.1 between 2019 and 2020). Beyonce reaches a new peak with “break my soul” climbing up to number 2. She does however achieve a number 1 album with “Renaissance”. The album only pulled in one more new entry with “Energy” creeping in at no.40 on the singles chart.

There are multiple tracks that have reached new peaks after slowly climbing over the past few weeks including FKA Twigs “killer”, Calvin/Halsey/JT/Pharrell with “stay with me”, Future/Drake/Tems with “wait for u” & OneRepublic with “I ain’t worried”.

The highest new entry this week is a surprise summer track collaboration between Hailee Steinfeld & Anderson.Paak, entering at no.8 with “Coast”. Ella Henderson drops out of the top 40 after a 20 week run with “Emotions” despite it only being an album track.

Longest chart runners:

  1. Sam Fender – 17 going under (56 consecutive weeks)
  2. Tate McRae – She’s all I wanna be (26 consecutive weeks)
  3. David Guetta/Becky Hill/Ella Henderson - Crazy what love can do (17 consecutive weeks)
  4. Latto/ Mariah Carey/DJ Khaled - Big Energy (remix) (16 consecutive weeks)
  5. Ella Mai - DFMU (16 non consecutive weeks)

Next week Calvin Harris will compete with Beyonce for the no.1 album spot. Eminem however may have a say with his greatest hits album part 2 “curtain call 2” also entering the race. It could be a big 3 way battle.

Look out for new singles from Maisie Peters, Joel Corry & Becky Hill, The 1975, Madonna & Saucy Santana, DJ Khaled ft Drake & Lil Baby & finally a KSI & Tom Grennan collaboration.

Hi there Zack!
Glad to see Kate Bush at the top for a ninth consecutive week! I also like the return for "One Night" and the debuts for "Coast" and "New To You".
Great chart!

Buddy impressed with the chart overall extremely extraordinary mmm. 9 weeks atop a classic song which is very rare thanks to the Netflix her song has become one of the best this year that's the top single of the year .

Interesting top 3 Break My Soul moves to new peak blocked by Kate . How do I make you love me steady there .

Wow I love you mate wow we have same entrance at #8 i love that song so much one of the summer song i will be smashing this year on  my playlist l always loved Anderson collabs i loved him more Mary j blige song his voice, on coast the instrument was beautiful something different i needed to hear  .we have same number 2 this week also.lol

Wait for u has been a slow hit for you finally reached top 10 after   a huge climb

I like seeing New To You just behind top 10 i guess I forced you to listen to it lol soon it will be dropping for you??? Like the new peak for I Ain't Worried

Interesting to see DFMU rebound that's a good r&b song. I guess you didn't feel Beyonce new album  i see only one entrance and rise of Break my Soul

Hold my hand had a good run on your chart.

Im surprised myself that no other songs has been able to knock her off yet. Could it be 10 weeks later this week??? Naturally, I listened to Beyonce more this week and she wasn't too far behind peaking at no.2. Going to check your chart next, but wow, really? We have the same no.8? I wasnt expecting you to listen to it perhaps becuase of Hailee. It took me a few days to like it, love the summery feel to it and they collab well together. Yes, "wait for u" was a very slow gainer, unsure if it now may have peaked at no.10 or will it continue to climb? "New to you" was better the more I heard it, so it managed to enter by that merit. It might fall but not by any big margins. OneRepublic having a surprise hit this summer which they have not had for a while. Did you know that the video for "counting stars" is one of the most watched of all time? DFMU still around, unclear if it will still hang around for next week, just depends on all the new entries. No, I didn't quite feel her new album (Beyonce), but its early days and I might change my mind in a few weeks. Big album battle this week though! Yes, "hold my hand" has done well, and with the 2 weeks at no.1
