Crownnote stands in solidarity with the campaign #TheShowMustBePaused, during which the music industry is taking a pause following the deaths of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and others in the latest events in a long-ongoing series of systemic racism and police brutality. While Crownnote is not a company and makes no money on its own, we encourage you to make individual donations, if you are financially able, toward causes that support Black voices, in the music industry and beyond. We also ask you to reflect on the fact that many of the artists, songwriters, producers, label executives, and industry employees that bring you the music you chart here each week have Black roots, as do genres like country, house, rock, jazz, R&B, and hip-hop that grace our charts each week. Through our Twitter account, we will cease all promotional activity of our own site this week, choosing instead to amplify Black voices and organizations that share in the pursuit of support, empowerment, and equality; and we ask that you will do the same. Thank you.

Taylor Swift holds at #1; Camila Cabello brings "Havana" to the top three

October 16, 2017

Taylor Swift makes it a seventh week at the top of the chart, with "Look What You Made Me Do" still outpacing its runner-up by nearly 30,000 points. Said runner-up, Dua Lipa's "New Rules," increases its own weekly points total, gaining momentum over Swift's hit, which dips slightly. Camila Cabello's "Havana" (featuring Young Thug) becomes her biggest hit, moving up 4–3 and seeing a points jump of more than 50,000 points this week. Demi Lovato's "Sorry Not Sorry" rebounds to its original peak of #4, while Portugal. The Man's "Feel It Still" finds a new peak inside the top five.

Kesha's "Praying" and Logic's "1-800-273-8255" (featuring Alessia Cara and Khalid) each drop, but Kelly Clarkson's "Love So Soft" returns to the top ten with a new personal best of #8. P!nk and Taylor Swift cap the top ten.

Imagine Dragons score their second consecutive top-twenty hit, as "Thunder" jumps to #17. CNCO's Little Mix-assisted remix of "Reggaetón Lento" also enters the top twenty at #20. Halsey's latest single, "Bad At Love," sees a six-spot jump to #24, and Demi Lovato album cut "Daddy Issues" reaches #30.

Charlie Puth has the week's top debut on the Crown 100 with "How Long," which starts off at #41. No other songs debut within the top fifty, though recent entries by The Killers, P!nk, Nick Jonas, and Paloma Faith all see double-digit gains into the chart's upper half.

Maluma ("Felices Los 4," #73), BANKS ("Underdog," #81), Tove Styrke ("Mistakes," #90) have the only other debuts this week; the chart also sees eight re-entries, led by U2's "You're The Best Thing About Me" at #68.
