Katy Perry rules for a third week, Lorde debuts at #7.
"Chained to the Rhythm" by Katy Perry and Skip Marley spends a third consecutive week at #1. The track is the lead single from Perry's upcoming, still untitled, new studio album, expected later this year.
"Chained" is followed by a pair of #1 hits that only managed to top the chart for a single week but have still displayed impressive staying power. "Shape of You" returns to #2, after being surpassed by felow single "Castle on The Hill" last week ("Shape" was #5, while "Castle" reached a new #3 peak; the latter drops to #5 this week).
The other one-week #1 is Rihanna's "Love on the Brain", which reached the top spot last year but returns to the top 3 this week. "Brain" is easily the oldest song charting, with this being it's 38th week on the chart. It's Rihanna's second #1 hit from her ANTI album, following "Work". Fellow singles "Needed Me" and "Kiss It Better" reached #3 and #6 respectively.
"It Ain't Me" drops two spots to #4 after it's impressive jump last week. Unless it recovers, it will join "Good for You" and "We Don't Talk Anymore", which also peaked at the runner-up position. Fellow Revival singles "Hands to Myself" and "Same Old Love" reached #3, while "Kill Em With Kindness" topped out at #6, and "Trust Nobody", her collaboration with Cashmere Cat peaked outside top 10.
Dua Lipa drops to #6 this week with former #1, "Be The One". "John Wayne" by Lady Gaga also drops two spots to #8.
Two tracks make impressive entries to the top 10: "Green Light", Lorde's first solo single since 2014 starts at #7. "Something Just Like This" by Coldplay and the Chainsmokers is the week's Greatest Gainer by moving up ten rungs to #9. Expect both tracks to move up in the coming weeks.
"Rockabye" closes the top ten, extending it's impressive run. It has never ranked below #10 since it's debut.
Below top ten, "Slide" marks Calvin Harris' return to the chart at #22. It's Frank Ocean and Migos' first entry.
