My Top 50 - 07/09/2017

"Feels" leads again as the top three remains unchanged.

Following Funk Wav Bounces Vol. 1's release, Calvin Harris stays at #1 with "Feels", his latest single featuring Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry and Big Sean. It also increases the gap between it and #2, "Wild Thoughts". Funk Wav's arrival is felt through the chart as "Skrt on Me" debuts at #28, "Slide" holds at #31, "Heatstroke" re-enters at #38 and "Rollin" debuts at #44.

Dua Lipa stays blocked at #3 with "New Rules", although the track received a music video this week which may help it against "Feels" and "Wild Thoughts" next week.

Two tracks reach new peaks below "Rules": "Whatever It Takes" moves up one spot for Imagine Dragons, while "Strangers" becomes Halsey's first top 5 hit as a lead artist (outpeaking "Now Or Never" which reached #6 and actually moves up to #20 this week, and joining her Chainsmokers collaboration "Closer", which of course reached #1).

As impressive as Funk Wav Bounces' performance is this week, it's not quite up to what Lorde's Melodrama is still pulling. "Perfect Places" moves up to #6, while "Sober" jumps to #11. "Liability" drops one spot to #16, but lead single "Green Light" recovers to #19, it's highest rank in two months (it's gone as high as #2). "The Louvre" drops just one spot to #29.

There are two new top 10 entries this week, as French Montana and Swae Lee take their first chart entry, "Unforgettable" to #7, while DJ Khaled might not be quite #1 with "Wild Thoughts", but his "I'm the One" goes up four spots to #8.

Paramore's former chart topper "Hard Times" drops three to #9, while Katy Perry and Nicki Minaj drop six spots to close this week's top 10.

Below that, Charlie Puth earns Greatest Gainer honors this week with "Attention" jumping twelve spots to #23. Liam Payne cracks top 40 with "Strip that Down", his first solo single, while Macklemore makes his first chart entry without Ryan Lewis at #41 with "Glorious". Following her legal troubles that prevented her from releasing music for several years, Kesha debuts at #45 with her new lead single "Praying", from her upcoming album Rainbow.
