My Top 50 - 12/24/2017

Ed Sheeran to spend Christmas at #1 with "Perfect", while big 2017 hits start re-entering.

"Perfect" gets a second week at #1 for Ed Sheeran. The British singer finds himself with five more entries on the chart this week: "Give Me Love" is up to a new peak at #23, former #1 hit "Shape of You" rides year-end hype to a #29 re-entry, "Bloodstream" gets into the top 30 for the first time, while #1 hit "Castle on the Hill" and #2-peaking "Galway Girl" re-enter at #34 and #50.

The biggest 2017 hit of this chart moves up to #2: "New Rules", which save for it's debut week, hasn't spent a single week outside the top 5. Lipa's next single "IDGAF" slides to #21 from it's #17 peak, but previous #1 smash "Be The One" also enjoys a healthy year-end increase and moves up to #26 on it's 48th week, the year's longest run (surpassing "Shape of You" which has fallen a few times and thus finds itself with 47 top 50 weeks).

Sliding down to #3, Camila Cabello and Young Thug's "Havana" is mostly steady in points. Cabello's next single "Never be the Same" is up to #15. Another Camila track, "Real Friends" slides 33-38, while "OMG", which got scrapped from the album moves down to #36 after reaching a #25 high.

Halsey's "Bad at Love" remains steady again at #4, the highest a solo song has gone for her. Her G-Eazy collab "Him & I" is this week's Greatest Gainer moving up to #18. Another hopeless fountain kingdom hit, "Strangers" featuring Lauren Jauregui re-enters at #48 and has gone as high as #5.

Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift trade places as "Sorry Not Sorry" and "End Game" featuring Ed Sheeran and Future are #5 and #6 respectively this week. The next two songs stay the same as last week, "Wolves" by Selena Gomez and Marshmello at #7, and Lovato's own "Tell Me You Love Me" at #8.

Lorde re-enters top 10 with "Homemade Dynamite (Remix)". Previous Melodrama single, "Green Light", which also peaked at #2, jumps to #28 after last week's re-entry.

Ofenbach closes the top 10 with "Be Mine", after reaching a #9 peak last week.

Other songs re-entering due to year-end plays are "Wild Thoughts" by DJ Khaled, Rihanna and Bryson Tiller at #47 and Katy Perry's "Chained to the Rhythm" at #49. Both songs previously hit #1. Expect these and other big hits like "Feels", "Slide", "Believer", "Hotter than Hell" and "Attention" to join next week.
