To the surprise of no one, "Tempo" by Lizzo & MIssy Elliott has surged to the top spot with a massive play count, thanks to Josh, Daina, Celina, Emily, and Emm!e. Last week's #1, "Sucker" by Jonas Brothers," tumbles to #6 while Celina pushes "Gold" up to #2. "No New Friends" is the only new top ten as it jumps to #9 in its 2nd week.
The top debut is from French band, BB Brunes, as their new single surprisingly gets a US release. "Visage" debuts at #25, their first chart entry (although that's only because of their poor US promo and the age of the chart). Vampire Weekend has a good week, but it's surprisingly not just because of Breagh. Emm!e was also feeling the alt band as "A-Punk" and "Harmony Hall" returns as well as "2021" debuting. "1999" returns after being a surprise crowd-please on Josh's pub crawl last weekend. Can it stay for longer or will this be its final week?
Wth its 27th week on the chart, "Shallow" by Lady Gaga & Bradley Cooper now have the 5th longest stay on the chart ever behind "New Rules" (40 weeks), "One Kiss" (32 weeks), "IDGAF" (31 weeks), and "I'll Be There" (29 weeks). Happy birthday, Lady Gaga!
Next week, we see new singles from The Veronicas, Aly & AJ, Ciara, P!nk, and The Chainsmokers, all of which have a shot at making the top ten next week. Can anything topple the T H I C C BITCH anthem from #1? It seems doubtful with Daina at the helm. Find out next week on the Braintree Top 40!
Here is this week's Bubbling Under:

2. Étienne Daho - Week-end à Rome
