These are basically my 40 favourite songs! Updated weekly. The rule is that each song has to have been in either the Official UK Top 40 or the Vodafone Big Top 40. Enjoy!
This week, Cheat Codes and Demi Lovato spent a fourth consecutive week at #1. They still have five to go to match Cheat Codes’ longest #1, and 11 more to match Bad Things’ record, but a month at #1 is still a huge achievement!
Zara Larsson climbs back to #2, getting So Good a tenth week at #2. She is so unlucky not to have got her second #1 after I Would Like in January. Elsewhere in the top 5, Jonas Blue climbs 2 to #4 with Mama, becoming his second biggest hit to date after Perfect Strangers hit #2 last summer. This still has potential to climb and become one of the biggest hits of the summer though. The Vamps climb one to #6 with Middle Of The Night, and DJ Khaled with the help of Justin Bieber, Quavo, Chance The Rapper and Lil Wayne climbs 4 to #10 with I’m The One.
This week’s highest new entry comes from Maggie Lindemann, as the Cheat Codes X Cade remix of Pretty Girl enters at #12. The top 20 sees climbs for Despacito, Attention, There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back and iSpy. Just outside, French Montana and Swae Lee climb four with Unforgettable, now at #23. But this week’s biggest climber comes from Niall Horan, as Slow Hands jumps 7 to #31. There are further new entries from Miley Cyrus’ Malibu at #36, and Kid Ink and Ty Dolla $ign with F With U at #39.
One final note: congratulations to Cheat Codes X Kris Kross Amsterdam, who have spent a full year- 52 weeks- on the chart with Sex! It entered at #4 on 20th May 2016, and this has been its chart run:
4,2,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,1,2,2,2,2,2,2,2,3,3,3,4,3,5,8,8,8,7,7,8,8,11,11,12,17,18,19,21,21,24,28,31,(out for one week),re-entry at 32,36,35,35,33,35,37,35,35,34.

Hey Piran, I'm glad you liked my chart! as CITC goes, it will definitely get top 2/3, but I'm not yet sure if it will get #1. it will be a tough battle. I have to put up two more charts before it can debut though! :/
just out of interest, whats your longest serving song? as you know, Sex just hit a year in my chart. the only song to have done that in the top 40 era is I think Do It Again, which charted from August 2015 (pre-top 40) to December 2016. but in the top 10 & 20 days JT had multiple songs which charted for over a year, like Mirrors, Not A Bad Thing (both of which carried over to top 40 days) and Take Back The Night. Bruno Mars' Treasure and possibly Robin Thicke's Give It 2U stayed for I think over a year too. but, as ive said before, there was so little change then.
But yeah, only two songs have done it for me since I changed to top 40. Work From Home and IKWYDLS both hit 50 weeks (the latter still has a small chance of re-entering), but only two songs have beaten Sex's 31 weeks in the top 10, All In My Head (Flex) and Starving, both with 34!

Yeah, it seems like #2 will be the peak for 'Crying In The Club' on my personal charts. The #1 I have for tonight has a very strong lead at the moment & I see it staying at the top for at three or four weeks at least!
Well in terms of the Top 10, 'Love Story' would have the record with 28 weeks, but songs that came close to that record are: 'Uptown Funk' (27), 'Bad Blood' (24), 'Closer' (23) & 'Can't Stop The Feeling' (22), 'Ready Or Not' (20) & 'Somebody To You' (18).
As for the Top 40, 'Love Story' has dropped out & re-entered a few times, but that's the only song that has spent over a year in my chart with 56 weeks in total. 'Uptown Funk' has the longest consecutive run with 48 weeks!

Hey Calum, great chart once again! I'm glad to see 'No Promises' at #1 and 'So Good' by Zara at #2. Jonas Blue climbing is amazing and same goes for Shawn Mendes and Charlie Puth! Well from your new entries (that I know of) : 1.) Pretty Girl (Cheat Codes x Cade Remix) [Amazing] and 2.) Malibu (Great). I love your chart once again! Now I posted a new chart and I think you will enjoy my NEXT weeks #1! ;) See ya!

Hey Calum! I really like this chart of yours. :)
I'm happy to see 'No Promises' get four weeks at #1 & that 'Mama' is climbing in your Top 10. So now that 'Crying In The Club' is eligible for your Top 40, when will it debut & where should it enter?
'Pretty Girl' & 'Malibu' are both very good debuts, but I'm not into 'F With U' at the moment.
Enjoy the rest of your day & I'll message you when my next chart is up!
