These are basically my 40 favourite songs! Updated weekly. The rule is that each song has to have been in either the Official UK Top 40 or the Vodafone Big Top 40. Enjoy!
This week, we have the first new #1 of 2018: Zedd, Grey & Maren Morris' The Middle. It is the latter's first appearance on the chart, but the former two have had a chart-topper together in the past, in Hailee Steinfeld's Starving. We have two new entries in the top 3, as Hailee Steinfeld and Bloodpop's Fifty Shades Freed track Capital Letters debuts at #3. And the only other track to reach the top 10 for the first time is the Weeknd and Kendrick Lamar's Pray For Me at #9. This is the pair's second top 10 collab, after Sidewalks also peaked at #9 at the start of 2017.
Marshmello and Anne-Marie climb to within a whisker of the top 10 at #11, and Bazzi reaches the top 20 for the first time at #17 with Mine. Kojo Funds and Raye also climb into the top 20, and Sean Paul, David Guetta and Becky G enter at #18 with Mad Love.

Hey Piran, thanks for the comment! well, had The Middle debuted last week it wouldn't have debuted at #1, as this was the first week it was my favourite song. well, as #1 debuts on first appearance go, MGK on Bad Things and Imani on Say You Do is all, but including songs that climbed up to #1 on an artist's first appearance, there's quite a few: both artists on You Don't Own Me, all three artists on All My Friends, both artists on Sex, Hailee Steinfeld and Grey on Starving, William Singe on Mama, Travis Scott on Know No Better, both artists on Out Of Love and Young Thug on Havana!
Pray For Me may climb next week but only by one place if so, and Friends should reach the top 10 next week. not sure about Mine though, it will probably peak just outside the region. it does have a chance though.
I cant wait to check out your chart later! talk to you soon! :D
Hey Calum!
Nice to see "The Middle" debut at #1!
The other debuts are also great!
Also I'm glad that "Pray For Me" made your top 10 and I would be very happy if "Friends" could make it too!
Great chart overall!
Also check out my new chart if you haven't, I would be glad!
See you soon!
Hey Calum! What a fancy chart :). As Piran said, it's awesome to see "The Middle" debut at #1 (I'm not a huge fan of it, but I liked the song when I listened to it). "Capital Letters" at #3 is more exciting to me! I like that song! Can it peak #1? Your Top 10 looks amazing, so many tracks I love! "Finesse" is great, its five-week stint at #1 is about to end on my chart. "Pray For Me" is equally amazing, since its the song that's going to dethrone "Finesse". "Havana" and "For You" are also songs I love, both are 8/10 for me! Some other songs that I enjoy on your chart: "Tip Toe", "Say Something", "All The Stars", "Sick Boy", "Let You Down", "Stargazing", "River", "Wolves", "Let Me Go", "Friends" and more!! Great chart once again, I really enjoyed it. See you soon buddy!
Hey RandomGuy! I'm glad you like so many songs in my chart, especially in the top 10! unfortunately, no, I don't think Capital Letters can reach #1. I think it will probably stay at #3. still a really good return though! hope you have a good rest of the weekend, and speak to you soon! :)
Hey Calum! It's cool to see 'The Middle' debut straight in at #1! It's been getting some big gains over the past couple of weeks on my chart as well! I also don't mind seeing 'Capital Letters' debut at #3, though the song isn't anything amazing for me. I love seeing 'Pray For Me' climb into the Top 10 and 'FRIENDS' climb to #11, as those 2 are some of my favourite songs at the moment as well!
The debut for 'Mad Love' is pretty cool to see as well, but there's not much going on elsewhere. It's been a pretty stale few weeks in terms of great new releases, and I can only imagine how much worse the effect is when you can only include songs that are charting on the Official Chart Top 40 or Big Top 40. Still a great chart though, and I'll speak to you soon! :D
Hey Gameskiller! I'm glad you like my new #1 and those climbers, as both should continue to climb in my next chart! yeah, the last few weeks have got a little more repetitive and little amazing songs have been released, so much so that my top 4 on my chart are my actual top 4 favourite songs, something that rarely happens, so there are no not-yet charting songs I like more. there's some good new entries on my new chart though, which I'm working on now! not top 10 debuts, but there's some potential climbers in there! speak to you soon! :)
Amazing chart as usual Calum! :)
It's so good to see 'The Middle' debut at #1, as that was at the top of my own chart last week. As for Maren Morris, it's interesting that she's debuted at #1 on her first charting song for you. Which other artists has this happened to?
'Pray For Me' breaking into the Top 10 is awesome & hopefully we'll see 'Friends' & 'Mine' make it into the region soon too.
Here's my rating of yours debuts this week: 'The Middle' (9/10), 'Capital Letters' (9/10) & 'Mad Love' (7/10)!
My next chart will be up a bit later, so check that out if you have enough time.
See you soon!
