Top Songs [11.23.2017]

This week, 'No Peace' returns to the top of the chart. It rises 1 spot from #2, spending a second non-consecutive week at Number One, after debuting there 2 weeks ago. This gives Sam Smith his 2nd total week at Number One. 'No Peace' becomes just the 6th song to spend more than a week at Number One. Only 'Cruise' (2 weeks), 'Shed A Light' (2), 'Innerbloom' (2), 'Endorphins' (3), and 'A L I E N S' (4 weeks) have also spent more than one week at #1. 'Please Forgive Me' and 'We Are All We Need' are the top debuts this week at #2 and #3 respectively, giving Pnau their first Top 5 and Top 10, and Above & Beyond their 2nd Top 5/10. Above & Beyond first reached the Top 10 with 'My Own Hymn' which peaked at #2. 'Everybody Want To Rule The World' reaches a new peak of #4 in it's 3rd chart week. It previously debuted and peaked at #8. Last week's Number One 'Needed You' falls 4 spots to the bottom of the Top 5. With this week's chart position 'Needed You' has now placed in every position from #1-5. Also, the song spends it's 5th week in the Top 5, and 7th in the Top 10. Previous chart-topper 'Innerbloom' blooms as it moves 2 spots up from last week's position to #6. It spends it's 11th total (and consecutive) week, as well as it's 8th week in the Top 10 (It has spent 5 weeks in the Top 5). Pnau debuts another Top 10 song with 'In My Head' at #7. #2-peaking song 'Midnight Train' spends a third week in the Top 10 moving one spot to #8. 'Pray' falls 5 spots to #9, still remaining in the Top 10 since it debuted at #2 7 weeks ago. Pnau rounds up the Top 10 with 'Go Bang' which debuts at #10, giving Pnau their 3rd Top 10 song. Just outside the Top 10, 'Keep Cool' keeps cool at it's #11 peak for a second week, hopefully prepping for a move to the Top 10. 

'All I Can Think About Is You' returns to the chart at #44 after a one-week absence (and after a record 21 consecutive weeks on the chart). 'All I Can Think About Is You" spends it's 22nd total week on the chart, and as such now shares the record for most toal weeks on the chart with 'Endorphins'. With this, 'All I Can Think About Is You' now either shares or holds 4 of the 5 Big Five song records: 'Most Total Weeks' (22), 'Most Consecutive Weeks' (21), 'Most Weeks in Top 5' (4), and 'Most Weeks in the Top 10' (12 weeks). The only record it doesn't hold (and doesn't appear on) is that for 'Most Weeks at #1' (the song has only spent 1 week at Number One). 

Over on the Leaderboard, 'Endorphins' remains on top as the year rolls to an end. 'A L I E N S' remains in 2nd place, and 'All I Can Think About Is You' at 3rd place. However, 'All I Can Think About Is You' has now closed the gap between itself and 'A L I E N S', lagging behind 'A L I E N S' by less than 30 points now. 'All I Can Think About Is You' and 'Endorphins' are now separated by less than 2,000 points, making the battle for 2017's Top Song even closer, tougher and harder to predict now. 'Sober' remains at #4, and 'Burning Out' burns steady at #5. 'Innerbloom' moves up one spot to #6, and could potentially enter the Top 5 next week. 'Middle' falls to #7, 'Green Light' blinks steadt at #8, 'Let You Go' holds on at #9, and 'Hello' is a familiar face at #10.
