This week... and it seems like this year... is the week of Tate McRae. When 'she's all i wanna be' debuted at #9 back in February, I had no idea it would be as big as it has been on my chart! It took its time, but in April it climbed to #1 and spent 3 weeks there. This seemed to open a door for Tate as she nestled herself at the top of my chart. 'what would you do?' debuted at the #1 a couple of weeks ago, and today Tate McRae gets herself a 3rd #1, this time with album track 'you're so cool'. she now ties with Maisie Peters for 2nd most #1's on the chart (3 each) ony behind Taylor Swift, who has 4. She also ties Maisie and Olivia Rodrigo, as they now each have spent 5 weeks at #1 as an artist, again behind Taylor Swift who has spent 11 weeks at #1 as an artist! She is also just behind Taylor Swift with quickest accumilation of #1 singles - Taylor achieved 3 #1s in 1 month and 3 weeks back in Jan/Feb of this year, with Tate acheiving 3 #1s in 2 months! That's a lot of records for Tate!
Furthermore, she holds 7 spots within the top 10, giving her the biggest album bomb of 2022, and Tate now holds the record for the first artist to have their entire album chart within the Top 20. all 12 songs from the album are in the region this week! On top of 'you're so cool' at #1 and 'what would you do?' holding at #2, 'boy x' opens at #3 this week, lead single off of the album 'feel like shit' debuts at #5, 'she's all i wanna be' rebounds 4 spots to #6 and spenda a 17th consecutive week in the Top 10 (another record for Tate). 'i'm so gone' debuts at #7, 'don't come back' is at #10, 'hate myself' at #11, 'i still say goodnight' at #12, 'what's your problem?' at #13, 'go away' at #15 and 'chaotic' re-enters at #17.
Aside from Tate McRae this week, Maisie Peters slips to #4 with 'Cate's Brother', Cornelia Jakobs' 'Hold Me Closer' is at #8 and Mabel's 'Overthinking' is at #9! Understandably due to the album there is a mass of tracks falling this week. However, there are 2 huge climbers. We Are Domi (Czech Republics Eurovision Entry) climb and incredible 26 spots with 'Lights Off', up to #16, and LUM!X ft. PIA MARIA (Austria's *hugely robbed* entry) 'Halo' is at #24. Mimi Webb's new piano ballad 'Goodbye' opens at #18. Another event (other than Tate's album) having an impact is Stranger Things. Volume 1 of Season 4 was released on Friday, and due to being used massively in the plot, Kate Bush's track 'Running Up That Hill (A Deal With God)' charts at #25. There are also some new tracks at the bottom of the chart; Brooke debuts at #44 with 'Tongues', Ed Sheeran's 'I Will Remember You' is at #47, NEIKED, Anne-Marie & Latto's collab 'I Just Called' is at #48 and Calvin Harris and Dua Lipa's 2nd collaboration - this time (unnecessarily) assisted by Young Thug - 'Potion', debuts at #49
If you've made it through all of this, I commend you for taking the time! Have a great jubilee bank holiday weekend! <3

Hey Flamingo! She sure has! Glad you like Tate's domination! Yeah feels like shit was released in the run-up to christmas last year, as well as in the time that Taylor dropped Red (Taylor's Version) so I never really picked it up! It is a banger though!
Rina should re-bound yes, its a great track!

Hey Conor! :)
Nice to see an insane album bomb for Tate McRae, along with debuts for Mimi Webb & Kate Bush sneaking in there, haha.
Cool chart!

Hey Piran!
Yeah Tate has the biggest album bomb of the year haha! Mimi should also climb!
Kate Bush is actually looking at getting the #1 next week. I've been a fan of hers from a young age so Running Up That Hill being used in Stranger Things revived my love for her, so expect a few of her tracks to chart next week!

Hi Conor!
Nice to see Tate getting an album takeover, I also like the high climb for "Lights Off", as well as the debuts for "I Just Called", "Potion" and the classic "Running Up That Hill".
Great chart!
Sorry that I wasn't commenting at first on Crownnote here, I was very busy on the last few days.

Hey Sergej!
Tate's album bomb should continue into next week. Lights Off, I Jst Called and Potion are all looking at small climbs next week, and Running Up That Hill is in contention for the #1!
No worries! Take care!

Hey Conor! Sorry about the late comment I've had laptop issues over the past week.Loving the Tate McRae album bomb here, surprised Feel Like Shit never charted before now! Glad to see Lights Off climb regardless and Goodbye make a Top 20 debut too, along with Running Up That Hill appearing and Potion too! Good chart :)

Hey CJ!
No worries! Tate did well didn't she! The top 10 entries for her are looking at staying fairly stable, but the others are gonna take some quite significant drops! I know, I also can't believe I never charted feel like shit before! Lights Off and Goodbye will both climb, and Running Up That Hill is 99% likely to be #1 next week!

Hey Conor!
I adore your chart this week, especially the included article, I love it!
I also like the Tate McRae album bomb, including "Feel Like Shit". I also like the top debut for Kate Bush's "Classic". I also like the minor debut for "Potion", I hope it can climb even higher soon.
Have a great week!

Hey Link!
I'm glad you like the article! took ages to write so thanks for reading!
Tate's bomb is fading in the new chart, but kate Bush is looking at a huge climb ;). Potion might climb slightly but not much sadly, I just can;t get into it fully due to young thug, who ruins it for me sadly.
Have a great week too!

Hey Connor!
Tate McRae has landed! Love the domination across the chart this week, although I think our favourite songs from the album are on the opposite ends. I am surprised that "Feel Like Shit" didn't debut earlier on in the year!
I do hope Rina rebounds and hits a higher peak.
Overall, brilliant chart!
