Its time for Christmas!! Well, the Christmas chart, that is. And this years Christmas #1 rightfully goes to a festive classic from The Pogues featuring Kirsty MacColl. They got very close a couple of weeks ago following Shane MacGowan's tragic passing, but they've finally reached the summit at the perfect time - the christmas chart! Just behind at both #2 and #3 surprisingly is the song 'Stick Season'. Last week Noah Kahan's track debuted at #31, and after major streaming uplift it climbs to #3... only beaten by Olivia Rodrigo's gorgeous Live Lounge cover of it at #2! Both versions of the song have recieved over 50+streams in the past week :o I really hope they collab on a new version in the new year! Festive tracks from Taylor (Christmas Tree Farm) and Maisie (Together this Christmas) both make the top 5 this week as well!
This time last year, Phoebe Bridgers shot up the chart to Christmas #1 with 'So Much Wine'. She doesn't quite replicate it this year, but after a (relatable) tiktok trend featuring her gorgeous song 'Scott Street', it climbs to #6. Tate McRae slips to #7 with 'plastic palm trees', while Mimi Webb climbs to #8 with 'Back Home For Christmas', Wham! jump to #9 with 'Last Christmas' and Sabrina Carpenter jumps a huge 28 spots to #10 with 'A Nonsense Christmas'. Other than plenty of christmas re-entries the only notable points are 'Margaret' re-entering for Lana because... well... the party's December 18th! and Taylor's 'mirrorball' because that is such a christmassy song!
There are a massive 30 christmas songs in this weeks chart! And with only 1 chart left, who is going to be the final #1 of the year, and who is going to take the #1 song of the year?! Final chart will be published on Wed 29th, with the chart of the year following shortly!!!

Hi Conor!
Nice to see "Fairytale Of New York" as your Christmas #1! Also I like the big gains for "Stick Season" and "Back Home For Christmas" and the returns for "Merry Christmas Everyone", "Do They Know It's Christmas", "Merry Xmas Everybody" and "Feliz Navidad" and the debut for "Rockin' Around The Christmas Tree".
Great chart!
Take care.

Hey Conor,
Love the festivities in your chart this week, especially with "Fairytale of New York" leading and "Christmas Tree Farm" not too far behind!
Also great that Tate McRae led the entire top 10 last week. Great album!
Great chart!
