1st February, 2019 - 7th February, 2019

My Favourite Songs, Albums and Artists of All Time: https://crownnote.com/charts/gameskiller01/my-favourite-songs-of-all-time

Top albums of the week:

1) Nina Nesbitt - 'The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change' (Debut)
2) Mike Stud - '4THEHOMIES' (-1)
3) 21 Savage - 'i am > i was' (-1)
4) Post Malone - 'beerbongs & bentleys' (-1)
5) Post Malone - 'Stoney' (-1)

After climbing the charts ever since the release of 'i am > i was', 21 Savage's 'a lot' finally reaches #1 this week on its 7th week on the chart. This becomes 21's 2nd #1, following 'all my friends' from that same album (which was mostly carried by featured artist Post Malone). This is 21's 1st time coming anywhere near the top of the charts without Post Malone, as 'rockstar' also reached #2. It's also featured artist J. Cole's only chart entry, and thus only #1. At #2 we see the start of an album domination, as Nina Nesbitt's 'The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change' debuts straight at #1 on the albums chart. The highest charting track is 'Chloe', which debuts at #2. She also has 'Empire' at #5, former #1 'Colder' at #7, 'Loyal to Me' at #9 and 'Love Letter' at #10, and that's just the Top 10.

Those 5 tracks are all 5 of her Top 10 hits, and it's the first time that an artist has held half the Top 10 since Logic's 'YSIV' at the start of October. 'The Sun Will Come Up, The Seasons Will Change' continues its domination outside the Top 10 as well, with debuts at #15, #18, #20, #30, #36, #37 and #40, making for a total of 12 entries, and the 7th album to have 10 or more simultaneous entries. The previous albums to do so are, in chronological order: 'Camila' (10), 'beerbongs & bentleys' (17), 'Kamikaze' (11), 'YSIV' (12), 'Phoenix' (10) & 'Different World' (10).

Moving away from Nina's album, at #21 Logic's 'Keanu Reeves' manages to stay stable despite the huge influx of album tracks, and the highest non-Nina debut comes from Fredo & Dave with 'All I Ever Wanted'. This pairing has previously reached #1 with 'Funky Friday', and Dave also reached #1 just last week with Headie One on '18HUNNA', but I doubt this track will follow in those footsteps. Directly beneath that at #27 is another new entry, this time from Galantis & OneRepublic as they debut with 'Bones'. Joyner Lucas also has his 5th chart entry as 'Just Let Go' is a new debut at #33.

Thanks for reading everyone! :D

  • After 28 consecutive weeks in the Top 5, 'God is a woman' drops to #6

Hey Gameskiller! :)
I like that '18HUNNA' finally got to #1 last week, but I don't mind 'A Lot' taking over this week! Did the news about 21 Savage help push him to the top spot, or was he going to get there anyway?
Even though I still need to hear her new album, it's cool that Nina Nesbitt impacted your charts in a big way this week.
I'm really looking forward to see a potential entire Top 10 domination from Ariana Grande next week though! Which artists have been able to do that before, if any?
'Thank U, Next' should have about five or six tracks from it in my Top 10 next week if my predictions stand!
Good chart overall once again.
See you soon!

Hey Piran! 'a lot' was definitely heading to #1 regardless, with it climbing for weeks now, but 21 being in headlines this week just helped to cement his place at #1. Nina Nesbitt's new album is definitely very good, as you can see from my chart this week, but it's a shame that it released just 1 week before 'thank u, next', limiting its performance on my charts. The same goes for 'AJ Tracey', which released the very same day as 'thank u, next'! The only other time a Top 10 domination has happened before is just over 1 year ago when 'Camila' released, while 'My Dear Melancholy,', 'beerbongs & bentleys' and 'Kamikaze' all had 6 simultaneous entries in the Top 10. Ariana's set to pass all of them, though, currently eyeing up a Top 14 clean sweep (the 12 from 'thank u, next', plus 'God is a woman' and 'Quit')! Thanks for the comment! :D

Hey Gameskiller! I love your new chart. I also checked the previous chart, 'a lot' is a good song, so I'm happy that it's your new No.1.! Well, there is only one song inside your Top 10 that's also on my chart, that song is 'Wow'.! Actually, in total, there are only five songs on your chart that are also on mine, I'm actually surprised by that since I believe that we like similar music :). I've come to notice, though, that you like wide-range of artists, so that's probably the reason why! I also can't say that I'm happy that Ariana will occupy the Top 10 next week, since I don't like her a lot, nor her music, so I hope that at least one song could slide into the Top 10 :D. I have checked your favorite artists and songs of all-time and it's awesome! I'm very happy to see Bruno Mars being in your Top 10 since he's my favorite singer of all-time. There are also whole lot of songs that I LOVE as well! I've seen your comment on my chart as well. I'll give you some of my replies about that on my new chart tomorrow! Good chart once again and I'm looking forward for the week after the next one, because there might be less Ariana by then :)

Hey RandomGuy! 'a lot' has been climbing the chart for weeks now, almost ever since 'i am > i was' released, so it really was set for #1. It's just a great coincidence that it reached the top on the same week as 21's been in headlines! That is pretty surprising that our charts share so few songs, but I guess the album bomb from Nina Nesbitt this week doesn't help in that regard. As you mentioned as well, I do listen to quite a wide range of artists. Unfortunately for you, it's highly unlikely that any non-Ariana track will make its way into the Top 10 in time for my next chart, since she's still currently safely looking at a Top 14 clean sweep. Another track may manage to break into the Top 14, but I doubt anything could reach the Top 10. She's also set to hold the Top 3 at least for the foreseeable future, as long as there are no big debuts, since I'm really loving those 3 tracks at the moment! It's great that you checked out my all-time list as well! Bruno has sadly been sliding slowly down my artist list, but I think that's mostly because he hasn't released any new solo music since '24K Magic' in 2016. 'Unorthodox Jukebox' is still my 8th favourite album of all time! Thanks for the comment! :D

Hello again :). I've seen 21 news, bad for him. Hopefully they'll come with a solution. I was nonetheless surprised, especially when I checked your All-Time favorite songs chart! For example, 'Mercy' is my Top 3 favorite song from Shawn Mendes (the other two being 'In My Blood' and 'Treat You Better'), 'Pray For Me' was a 3-week #1 on my chart last year. 'Know No Better' would probably place inside my Top 150 songs of all-time (that would be a big accomplishment) and so on. We really like same music! I guess that one of the factors is that artists that I don't like or follow are releasing more music now comparing to the singers I love! Well, I told Piran that I'll give Ariana's album a chance, so we'll see! That's understandable, Bruno took a 4 year break between 'Unorthodox Jukebox' and '24K Magic' as well, he tends to take more time off than other artists. I also wish he releases music more often, but it's always worth the wait. Either way, the chances that he releases his new album in 2019. is very, very little to none, but I really hope he gets it done in 2020.! Bruno is very skilled at staying relevant, though. While 4 years between albums is a lot, he was still very successful in 2018. with 'Finesse' and his huge world tour. He is, in my opinion, the best male artist of the generation (the numbers from his three first studio albums definitely prove that)!

Hello Gameskiller!
Really like the Nina Nesbitt debuts and the debut for "Bones"!
Great chart!

Hey Sergej! Sadly quite a lot of the Nina Nesbitt debuts, as well as 'Bones' got pushed out in the chart I just uploaded, but I do still really like Nina's album and 'Bones'. In fact, Nina's album managed to hold up surprisingly well given the amount of debuts in my most recent chart. Thanks for the comment! :D
