Top albums of the week:
1) Post Malone - 'beerbongs & bentleys' (=)
2) Bebe Rexha - 'Expectations' (Debut)
3) Jorja Smith - 'Lost & Found' (-1)
4) Post Malone - 'Stoney' (Re)
5) Anne-Marie - 'Speak Your Mind' (=)
Bebe Rexha gets her first #1 on my chart this week with 'I Got You' following the release of her debut album 'Expectations' last week. She previously reached a peak of #2 as a featured artist on Louis Tomlinson's 'Back To You', and at #6 as the lead artist on '2 Souls on Fire'. 'Expectations' debuts at #2 on my albums chart, and has a total of 9 songs from it on the chart this week, 4 of which are in the Top 10. Since 'Expectations' sees 8 debuts this week, it's now tied with 'Black Panther: The Album' for the 2nd most simultaneous debuts from an album, losing only to Post Malone's 'beerbongs & bentleys' with 10. Elsewhere in the Top 10, Post Malone takes the positions #2 - #4 with '92 Explorer', 'Same Bitches' and 'Better Now', the latter of which reaches a new peak of #4. It is also the highest, and only, climber of the week as it climbs 3 places. 'Start Again' and 'Back to You' from the '13 Reasons Why (Season 2)' soundtrack manage to match the Top 10 run enjoyed by the 'Black Panther: The Album' singles 'Pray For Me' and 'All the Stars', as both pairs of songs have now managed 6 consecutive weeks in the Top 10.
Outside of the Top 10, Years & Years see their 3rd entry from upcoming album 'Palo Santo' with a song of the same name, debuting at #16. This is now their highest ever debut on my chart, beating the #21 debut of 'Sanctify' and the #27 debut of 'If You're Over Me'. 'Sanctify' peaked at #2, and I think it's quite likely that we'll see 'Palo Santo' peak inside the Top 10 as well once the album is released. NF debuts at #23 with 'WHY', following 'NO NAME' as his 2nd hit on my chart from his currently TBC upcoming album. 'NO NAME' debuted and peaked at #7. 'Ring Ring' by Jax Jones & Mabel debuts one place lower at #24, while Cheat Codes & Little Mix enter at #28 with 'Only You'.
Not too much to talk about in this week's "Post Malone Achievments Paragraph". There's the previously mentioned fact that 'Better Now' is the highest and only climber of the week, up 3 places to #4, and there's the fact that he occupies 3 out of the Top 4 which is still very impressive. Then, of course, there's the record that he extends every single week; he once again charts 10 or more songs simultaneously, for the 9th consecutive week this time. He is down 2 to 10 this week, though, making it the first time that 'beerbongs & bentleys' has not had 10 songs on the chart simultaneously as it only charts 9 this week. The remaining one is made up for by his feature on 'Jackie Chan', stable at #6 this week.
Thanks for reading everyone! :D
