Chart

6th April, 2018 - 12th April, 2018

Top albums of the week:

1) The Weeknd - 'My Dear Melancholy,' (=)
2) Various Artists - 'Black Panther: The Album' (=)
3) Camila Cabello - 'Camila' (=)
4) Logic - 'Bobby Tarantino II' (=)
5) Ed Sheeran - 'x' (=)

After debuting in the Top 6 spots last week, The Weeknd continues to hold the Top 4 and have all 6 songs from 'My Dear Melancholy,' inside the Top 10, though the #1 spot changes hands. Last week's #1 'Call Out My Name' falls 3 places to #4 as 'Try Me' climbs 1 to take the #1 spot. With this, The Weeknd grabs his 4th #1 on my chart, still behind only Camila Cabello (8) and Ed Sheeran (5). He also becomes only the 4th artist to ever knock themselves off the top, after Ed Sheeran, Camila Cabello and, most recently, Anne-Marie have all achieved it in the past. The Weeknd also becomes the only artist to have their entire album in the Top 10 for 2 weeks, though the short length of 'My Dear Melancholy,' certainly helps with this.

There are a couple of massive new entries in the Top 10 this week, led by 'Hard 2 Face Reality' by Poo Bear, Justin Bieber and Jay Electronica which makes its debut at #5. This is Poo Bear's 2nd, Bieber's 4th and Jay's 1st entry on my chart, and serves as the lead single from Poo Bear's upcoming debut album 'Poo Bear Presents: Bearthday Music'. Just below it at #7 is another new debut from Drake with 'Nice For What'. With this debut 'Nice For What' has already matched the peak of 'God's Plan', which took 10 weeks to reach it. Making it even more impressive is that it manages to do it in a week where the Top 10 is infested with The Weeknd's songs, and it ends up as the 2nd highest non-The Weeknd song of the week! Down 2 places at #9 'FRIENDS' stays in the Top 10, while 'She Loves Control' is a non-mover at #10.

Just outside of the Top 10 there are a couple of big climbers, led by the highest climber of the week; 'Pray' by Sam Smith & Logic climbs a massive 15 places to #11 following its #26 debut last week. At #12 'Freaky Friday' continues its climb, up 5 places. Further down the chart at #21 Calvin Harris & Dua Lipa's big collaboration 'One Kiss' makes a debut, marking Dua's 11th and Calvin's 10th entry on my chart. Further down there is a new entry from Thirty Seconds To Mars from their new album 'AMERICA' as 'Love Is Madness' debuts at #25

Eminem and Ed Sheeran's 'River' takes a big climb of 10 places up from #40 to #30 this week, Ed Sheeran's 'Bloodstream' is a non-mover at #31 on its 48th week on the chart. If it can last for just 4 more weeks then it will become the only song to ever reach an entire year on my chart - since I've only actually done 48 charts at this point, and 'Bloodstream' has been in every single one of them! 'Psycho' also continues on its amusing pattern, again down 1 place to #36 this week after climbing 1 to #35 last week.

Thanks for reading everyone! :D

Hello Gameskiller!
Great to see The Weeknd songs in the top 10!
I also really like the debut of "One Kiss"!
Great chart as always and also I recently updated my chart, check it out if you haven't!
Have a nice week!

Hey Sergej! I'm a pretty big fan of The Weeknd, and 'My Dear Melancholy,' has been doing absolutely amazing on my chart. It's the only album to ever have all of its songs inside the Top 10 for 2 weeks (though its short length does help with that)! 'One Kiss' should be climbing next week as well.
I'll go check out your chart now! :D

Hey Gameskiller! :)
I really like that 'Friends' is still in the Top 10 & that 'Freaky Friday' is expected to get there next week.
The debut for 'One Kiss' is good to see, as well as the big rebound for 'River'!
I hope you like my latest chart which I just put up & I'll see you soon.

Hey Piran! I think that 'FRIENDS' should stay in the Top 10 for quite a bit more, but there are some really good songs that are powering their way up my charts at the moment that could push it out. 'Pray' and 'Freaky Friday' are all but guaranteed for Top 10 placements on Friday, and 'One Kiss' is definitely a contender to reach the region in the coming weeks. And that's not mentioning 'Hard 2 Face Reality' and 'Nice For What' which are both set to climb further up the Top 10 on Friday.
I'm not really sure why 'River' had a big climb this week to be honest. I'd been hearing it a bit more often on the radio and had been listening to it more than usual, so the #40 that it had the week before just didn't seem fitting.
I'll go check out your chart now! :D

I like to see The Weeknd's entire EP on here plus "FRIENDS", "Done For Me", "Pray For Me", "Lost In Japan", "All the Stars", "In My Blood", "Bloodstream", "Say Something", and "Havana".
