New #1!
Notes:
- Tove Lo is going to win the battle between the Top 4 and score her first #1 with "Habits" and it only took her 2 weeks to do it. It puts up an impressive +20 play count, which is great for a 2nd week. Another good thing to note, she now becomes the first lead female artist to have a #1 on my chart. She broke the peak record last week when she debuted at #3, beating ADELE's previous record.
- "Rude" by: MAGIC! makes a nice 4-2 jump to retain its original peak.
- Bel Heir drops 2-3 with "Kiss the Devil (Just A Gent Remix)". It was making some pretty big gains the past few weeks, and was also looking to go #1, but "Habits" beat it to it.
- "Pressure" by: Youngblood Hawke falls 1-4 after spending a month on top. This week's Top 4 was mainly based on play gains and this was the lowest gainer in the Top 4, only going +2.
- Rixton scores their first Top 5 with "Me and My Broken Heart". They'll have a tough road ahead of them with the Top 4 being so closely intact.
- "Never Stop" by: SafetySuit finally reaches the 300 play mark this week. This becomes the first song to reach that milestone. Another thing to note, the Wedding Version of the song has a total of 66 plays, technically giving the song a whopping total of 368 plays. The next song to possibly reach the 300 play mark is "Good As Gold" (17-18 this week) with 287 plays. SafetySuit could possibly get 2 songs to reach 300, "Let Go" is currently at 245 plays.
- Jason Derulo hops into the Top 10 with "Wiggle" (feat. Snoop Dogg) going 13-9. This could be the song of the summer for my chart and even the US as it is making some pretty big gains on iTunes (currently at #9). There was also a pretty awesome cat Vine of this.
- "On Top" by: Flume (feat. T. Shirt) makes a 16-11 jump to obtain a new peak. It dropped 12-16 last week, so this was a good rebound for the song. It will look to enter the Top 10 next week.
- Andy Grammer continues to make small gains as "Back Home" goes 15-13 for a new peak. This also has a shot for the Top 10 next week.
- "Not On Drugs" by: Tove Lo makes a nice 20-17 gain. It was originally considered a one-weeker on the chart last week, but it will stick around for another and possibly more.
- "Words as Weapons" by: Seether skips over the On the Rise chart and debuts at #19. This is the 4th song in the past 3 weeks to not appear on the On the Rise chart and go straight to the main chart. Seether is no stranger to the Top 20, as they have had 5 songs to chart prior to this. "Tonight" is their highest song which peaked at #2 a few years back.
