Notes:
- "Falling Apart" takes the top spot for a third consecutive week, but things are getting close. "Looking Up" (#2), and SafetySuit in general, put up big numbers this week and put itself back into contention for #1. It mainly got its increases due to the hype of their tour, so it might not get as big of an increase as this week, but it'll be close.
- "First" (#14) spends its 52nd week on the chart this week! It has been such an outstanding run for the song, peaking at #1 for 6 weeks and pretty much holding in the Top 10 and 20 for its last 40-45 weeks. This definitely will have an even longer shelf life, and could push towards the halfway mark through a second year.
- Charles Kelley keeps it going as now "The Driver" positions itself in the Top 20, going 23-17 for a new peak. The song has been on a roll the past month or so, and things are still looking good for it for a few more weeks. His album of the same name drops tomorrow, and there's a shot I might get it (it's tad expensive, so I'll stream first, then decide). "Dancing Around It" moves 56-51 for a new peak, and is looking like it will do really well for an album track. "Lonely Girl" drops 54-55 this week, but it shouldn't be the end yet. Next week could be the biggest week for Charles yet, so things could get interesting towards the Top 10 and potentially two more songs entering the Top 50.
- "Surviving" climbs into the Top 20, going 21-20 for a new peak. This is starting to slow down, but this might be able to push through and still get a peak in the 11-15 range. It might play out like "In Chains" (20-18) has been the past few weeks and staying in similar spots. "Lies" also enters the Top 40 by going 43-40 this week.
- tobyMac enters the Top 30 with "Til the Day I Die" going 33-29 for a new peak. The song has been making big leaps since its re-entry, but it should start to slow down now. It has tons of potential, so it likely will fulfill it by moving up slowly. His current single, "Backseat Driver", has been sticking around on On the Rise for quite some time now, but it doesn't look like it'll debut for another few weeks.
- Like Charles Kelley, BANNERS keeps it going as now "Shine A Light" moves into the Top 30 by going 34-30 for a new peak. The EP release has really re-sparked the song, but now it's going to have to ride its own momentum as the EP hype has died down. It still has a good look to it, so I'd imagine somewhere in the mid-teens with room to grow. "Start A Riot" moves into the Top 50, going 52-50 for a new peak. "Gold Dust" drops 61-66, while "Back When We Had Nothing" and "Ghosts" fall from their respective peaks of #68 and #70 after one week on the chart.
- "Second Hand Heart" climbs into the Top 40, going 41-39 for a new peak. It has been moving up slowly since the expansion, and it should continue to do so for a little while longer. It's going to need a breakout soon though, as its time is slowly running down.
- "Yours" climbs 53-47 for a new peak. The country track has been hot these past few weeks and could see some big gains for awhile. It could even be an eventual Top 10.
- The top debut this week belongs to Charlie Puth & Selena Gomez with "We Don't Talk Anymore" at #58. The chill tropical house influenced track has been doing pretty well over the past few weeks. This is Charlie's first chart entry, but he did hit On the Rise with "See You Again" w/ Wiz Khalifa. This is Selena's second following "Good For You" (#14), which just went recurrent a few weeks ago. Selena was looking to follow-up "Good For You" with "Hands to Myself", but that has already kind of burned on me. This will take its place, regardless if that ends up debuting in the future.
- ZAYN makes his chart debut this week with his debut single "PILLOWTALK" at #63. The song has really been etched in my head over the past week, and I really like it. When he decided to go solo, I wasn't too sure what to expect because, to be honest, he was one of my least favorite vocalists from One Direction, though I thought they were decent. This R&B influenced pop song totally works with his voice and should definitely be what he does in the future. One Direction has a few tracks hit On the Rise, but never actually charted.
- "Pink Cocaine" re-enters the chart after one week off, re-entering at #65, which is a new peak. This fell off last week just because of the competition at the bottom, but was seated right at #71 waiting to come back in. This should be able to continue climbing for awhile.
- The last new entry goes to Mat Kearney, as he re-enters "Moving On" this week at #68. It charted nearly a year ago when JUST KIDS was released, and spent 3 weeks on the chart and peaking at #37, the common peak for album tracks lol. This has blowup potential to it, but it hasn't really taken its opportunities just yet.
