KC's Top 50

Timecop1983 & The Bad Dreamers' "Back To You" spends a tenth week at #1 on the chart, becoming the fifth song to ever do so. "Back To You" now joins an elite club, it ties Carly Rae Jepsen's "Run Away With Me" (2017) and Post Malone's "Circles" (2019) with 10 weeks at the top respectively, it sits behind Lil Nas X's "Old Town Road" which spent 13 weeks at the top in 2019 and BENEE/Gus Dapperton's "Supalonely" which currently holds the record with an atonishing 15 weeks at the top last year. Along with this both Timecop1983 and The Bad Dreamers double up in the Top 10 with the latter's "Who You Run To" sitting at #3 (after reaching #2 a couple weeks ago) and the former's "On the Run" sprinting 12-8, becoming Timecop's second Top 10 hit.

In the runner-up spot is Dua Lipa's "Levitating," the track is now the second highest-charting single from Lipa's 2020 sophmore record "Future Nostalgia," surpassing the No. 3 peak of "Don't Start Now." The song still sits behind "Break My Heart" which debuted at #1 last year, and Lipa's 2017 hit "New Rules" which spent a week at the top that December. "Levitating" has had quite the run so far, it reached a peak of #7 in November and fell off the chart in early March, before re-entering the chart at #6 a few weeks ago and now it's on track to reach #1. Comeback of 2021.

Triple the snythwave: Starletta rushes 10-4 with "Crying in Miami," becoming his first Top 5 hit. It also hails this Top 5 with three synthwave songs counting "Back To You" and "Who You Run To," and if you throw in "On the Run" and FM-84's "Running In The Night" (8-6), we have five synthwave tracks in the Top 10 (The Midnight's "Neon Medusa" pushes 42-38 this week, giving us a sixth synthwave track in the Top 40). Following the success of HOME last year it seems the whole genre has been pushed into the mainstream, becoming the breakout story of the year.

Rounding out the Top 10: The Weeknd's "Save Your Tears" falls 2-5 after reaching #1 for one week in February, Billie Eilish's "Your Power" pushes 15-7 in it's first full week of tracking, it becomes Eilish's eighth Top 10 hit, YNG Matyr's "Ease Off" falls 5-9 and at the bottom is Taylor Swift & Elvira's "willow (dancing witch version)" which falls 6-10 after debuting at #1 in December.

Outside the Top 10: Doja Cat & SZA's "Kiss Me More" moves 17-11, bbno$, Diamond Pistols and BENEE's "help herself" flies 45-14, becoming the former artists' first Top 20 hits while it becomes BENEE's sixth Top 20 hit. And Ariana Grande's "pov" pushes 27-18, becoming the third Top 20 hit from her 2020 record "positions" and her 17th Top 20 hit overall.
