Most notably, the single topped the Billboard Hot 100 and the UK Official Charts. Additionally, the chart-topper receives a huge 2 x Platinum Certification this week. This is Britney Spears her first 2 x Platinum certified single and is one of the fastest releases ever to achieve this milestone. As of this week, the hit single has amassed over 90,000 points.
Robbie Williams steps into the Top 10 with Strong. The song is the third single to be released from Robbie Williams his sophomore album “I've Been Expecting You”. The album previously spawned the hit singles Millennium and No Regrets. Overall, Robbie Williams his new single is the singer-songwriter’s seventh Top 10-hit on this list. His highest-scoring single remains to be Angels, which has scored over 80,000 points.
Mr. Oizo steps into the Top 10 with Flat Beat. Mr. Oizo is a French electronic musician, DJ and film director, who is now having his international breakthrough with Flat Line. The song serves as a bonus track on Oizo’s debut album “Analog Worms Attack”. The single was publicized in many Levi’s commercials and garnered chart success because of it. Its subsequent music video is also a success, which features Flat Eric, a puppet, head banging to the track. Flat Line peaks at Number 10 this week, marking Mr. Oizo his first ever Top 10-entry.
British dance duo Phats & Small score the highest debut of the week. The duo consists of Jason "Phats" Hayward and Russell Small. Phats & Small appeared on the scene in 1998 with Turn Around, a track that featured sampled Toney Lee's Reach Up and Change's The Glow of Love. The song debuted at Number 3 in the UK Singles Chart, before climbing to Number 2. The hit single now breaks international territory and enters this list. Turn Around debuts at Number 22 this week.
