It’s a big week for Céline Dion. Her single Think Twice celebrates its fourth week at Number 1. The song now matches the record of Saturday Night by Whigfield, which also spent four weeks at the top. If Céline stays at Number 1 for another week, she would become the sole record holder.
Where there is success, competition lies just around the corner. MN8 reaches Number 2 with I've Got a Little Something for You and Annie Lennox comes closer at Number 3 with No More “I Love You”s.
Dutch band Gompie enters the Top 10 with Alice, Who the X Is Alice? at Number 9 and Snap! enters the Top 10 at Number 9 with The First the Last Eternity (Till the End). The songs are for both artists their first Top 10-entries.
The biggest gainer of the week is Love Can Build a Bridge by Cher, Chrissie Hynde, Neneh Cherry and Eric Clapton. The collaboration gains nine places, peaking at Number 18.
There are multiple big droppers that peaked within the Top 10. East 17 drops six places with Stay Anohter Day, which peaked at Number 6. Marco Borsato drops six places with Waarom Nou Jij, which peaked at Number 2 and was certified Gold. Elton John drops six places with Circle of Life, which peaked at Number 9.
The highest debut of the week is scored by The Spin Doctors with Two Princes. The fun song opens at Number 30 and is their first entry on the list. Ace of Bace scores another entry with All That She Wants at Number 37. This is their second entry on the list, following The Sign which peaked at Number 35.
