La Bouche hits Number 1 with Be My Lover. The American-German duo is the first ever duo to top the charts. The new chart-topper knocks Take That off the top, which spent eight record-breaking weeks at Number 1 with Back for Good.
There are no new entries in the Top 10, but there is a lot of movement. Livin’ Joy aims for Number 1 with Dreamer, while the Bucketheads climb to Number 5 with The Bomb! (These Sounds Fall into My Mind). Whigfield is also slowly climbing up, with Think of You moving to Number 7.
American rock band Bon Jovi scores the biggest gainer of the week. Their newest entry, This Ain’t a Love Song, climbs nine places to Number 21. The song only debuted last week.
The biggest dropper of the week is The First the Last Eternity (Till the End) by Snap! and Summer. The hit peaked at Number 2 earlier this year and was certified Gold. The single loses five places this week.
The highest debut of the week is scored by the Outhere Brothers. The American duo has already entered the list once with the hit Don't Stop (Wiggle Wiggle), which peaked at Number 5. Their newest single, Boom Boom Boom, begins its journey at Number 25.
Speaking of Don't Stop (Wiggle Wiggle), the Outhere Brothers’ single has been certified Gold this week. Scatman John also receives a Gold Certification for Scatman (Ski-Ba-Bop-Ba-Dop-Bop), which peaked at Number 5.
Céline Dion achieves a huge milestone, not achieved yet by any artist until now, as she receives a 2 x Platinum Certification for Think Twice. The song has been charting for twenty-four weeks now, has spent five weeks at Number 1 and is currently the best-scoring single of 1995. Congratulations!
