Luke’s Top Tracks - another week of Billie domination

And we’re back! It only seems that the influence of “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT” keeps exponentially increasing, since in this week’s chart she takes up an impressive NINE spots in the top ten!

Starting off at the top, the hauntingly beautiful “BLUE” - by Billie Eilish, of course - spends a second week at #1. Can she make it a third? The song is Billie’s fourth #1, after last year’s amazing “What Was I Made For?”, as well as “Your Power” and “Happier Than Ever” in 2021. Following closely behind is another non-mover for the subtle electronic-R&B dancefloor filler “CHIHIRO”, also from Billie. And rounding off the top three, we have a climb of one place for “LUNCH”, the lead single from “HIT ME HARD AND SOFT” - she occupies the entire top three this week! Her domination only seems to grow year on year, and it really is a testament to her great artistry. 

Who could claim next week’s #1? Billie is likely to mostly face threat from herself; other album tracks, especially “BIRDS OF A FEATHER”, have had huge gains this week, and they’re incredibly likely to challenge “BLUE”. However, let’s not forget the recent rise of other artists like Chappell Roan. She currently has two songs in the top twenty for the first time, with her debut album “The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess” seeming to gain huge traction. We’ll just have to wait and see!
