The New Elusive Charts: Week 11

  • After Sigrid's album bomb didn't impress, Billie Eilish took it upon herself to show the girls how it's done. Following the release of her highly-anticipated debut album, "WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP WHERE DO WE GO?", the enigmatic singer leaves a significant mark on this week's chart.
    • With "bad guy" debuting at #1, BIllie earns her second #1, after "COPYCAT" hit #1 on the very first (pre-revamp) Elusive Chart. It also has to be noted that Billie now holds the longest time between number ones, with 31 charts between them, previously held by Lady Gaga (8 charts).
    • "bury a friend" reaches a new peak, at #2, rising 23 spots and almost reaching the top. However, BIllie now joins the exclusive club of top 2-holders, in the company of Ariana Grande and Sufjan Stevens. However, only Ariana was the only artist to achieve this during an album-bomb.
    • The singer not only ties Ariana's record for most songs charting at the same time, but she also breaks her record for most new entries, with 10.
    • In the top 10, she has only 4 entries ("i love you" - #6 - and "when the party's over" - #7), three of which are new entries, giving her a total of 7 top 10s on the chart.
  • Ariana Grande's "break up with your girlfriend", predicted to go #1 this week, drops to #3. The chances of reaching the top are unknown at the moment since it will be battling Billie, Lizzo and Marina.
  • Speaking of the latter two, they remain stable inside the top 5 as "Juice" drops to #4 and "Orange Trees" rieses to #5, becoming Marina's second top 5 entry since "Superstar" went #3.
  • The former chart ruler, "Now That I Found You" by Carly Rae Jepsen, drops to #8 this week, while Jepsen's other song, "No Drug Like Me" falls to #23.
  • Mariah Carey proves to be a graceful, everlasting presence on these charts as "A No No" remains steady at #9. Such powerful grace is translated to Sabrina Carpenter, who earns her first top 10 with "Pushing 20" at #10 this week.
  • In other news, the rest of the entries are free-falling... except for LSD's "No New Friends", which rises to a new peak of #34, perhaps aiming for a top 20 rise next week.
  • Benjamin Ingrosso makes his debut on the chart with "1989" at #25, a new song from the deluxe version of his debut, "Identification". Curious enough, he is the only male artist to chart in the top 25 this week.
  • This isn't Sigrid's week as she sees a drastic free-fall from... everywhere, basically, with her only #1 ("Basic") even dropping out of the chart, thus becoming the most short-lived #1 on the new chart. However, "Don't Feel Like Crying" returns this week at #32 and has a small chance of returning to the top 10. Small.
