Week 48
No, it isn't a spelling mistake. 'Monsters' by All Time Low is this week's biggest song after hearing a snippet of it in the chart show of 12 June 2020. Though not the first time hearing it, the snippet reignites the track with its catchy chorus to launch it to the top of the chart. The Blackbear featured track is the third song of the band to reach No. 1 this year, just behind current record holder Dua Lipa with four tracks.
It is not so 'Incredible' for Gary Barlow then, as he slides down a place to No. 2 despite a music video release on Tuesday. But with his album due for release today, it wouldn't be far-fetched to say it might get a third week soon.
As the UK continues to binge Christmas songs early, I took the opportunity to do so too. While on the hunt for some classics for my playlist, Leona Lewis' 'One More Sleep' stuck with me the most throughout the week, shining bright as a new entry at No. 3 this week.
The rest of the Top 5 are fallers: Dua Lipa's 'Levitating' dipping two places to No. 4 and 24kGoldn's 'Mood' dropping one place to No. 5.
Though skeptical at first, 'Prisoner' by Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa grew on me as the week went by. Debuting at No. 6 this week, it earns Cyrus her second Top 10 hit of the year and Lipa's sixth.
Following the rediscovery of 'Monsters,' I went back to All Time Low's back catalog and uncovered former Top 5 hit 'Missing You.' This week it re-enters at No. 9 to give the track a third week in the chart. Directly below is Ariana Grande's 'pov,' which rises five places to No. 10 to give her her twelfth Top 10 hit.
Near the bottom, MEDUZA's 'Paradise' gains two places to a new peak of No. 15 while 220 KID's 'Too Many Nights' starts slow at No. 19.

Hey Gameskiller! I highly recommend giving it a listen! Especially if you're a fan of 'idfc' (you'll get it when you listen to it ;)) But I'm glad you're liking the debuts and climbs! 'pov' is the 12th Top 10 hit for her out of 14, only 'Santa Tell Me' and 'MONOPOLY' didn't reach the Top 10 :P I'm also delighted you enjoyed 'Future Nostalgia' at #2! Thanks for the comment! :D

Hey Rector! I've not heard your #1 this week, but given that it features blackbear I might have to check it out haha! I do like the #6 debut for 'Prisoner', though, and I absolutely love that 'pov' climbs 5 places to make the Top 10! How many Top 10s has Ariana had on your charts in total? I'm also really liking that 'Paradise' makes a small climb to a new peak this week, and seeing '34+35' and 'Fairytale of New York' on the Bubbling Under chart is really cool. Over on the albums chart I'm liking that 'Future Nostalgia' is still #2 as well. Great chart again! :D
