The calm before the Eurovision storm is a literal calm one, mostly because I haven't listened to as much music because of my personal problems, but next week will be a different story, mainly because of Eurovision, but also because I will feel better hopefully!
As for this week, there is another new #1 with Ale Galata, an up and coming singer from Regensburg in Bavaria, Germany gets his first hit song with "Mirror", meanwhile down below Tommaso Paradiso reaches #4 with "Viaggio Intorno Al Sole", BLANCO & Mina rise up to #5 with "Un Briciolo Di Allegria", Niall Horan hits the top 10 with "Meltdown" at #7 and Ed Sheeran rises to a new peak with "Eyes Closed" at #9.
The highest debut this week comes from Alvaro Soler with "Muero" reaching #43, watch this go higher in the Summer, could be another summer hit from Alvaro.
Other new entries come from Tiziano Ferro, Labrinth & Billie Eilish, The Kolors, ClockClock, Paola & Chiara, Harry Styles and Tom Grennan.
As for next week, watch out for Eurovision songs debuting, returning and climbing the charts, as the Eurovision takeover will be commencing. It is inevitable.
Special lookout for Loreen's "Tattoo" (from Sweden), Käärijä's "Cha Cha Cha" (from Finland) and Alessandra's "Queen Of Kings" (from Norway).
Other songs potentially entering the chart (non-Eurovision): Becky Hill & Lewis Thompson with "Side Effects" and Ed Sheeran with "Curtains" and possibly more.

Hey Sergej, I can't say I've heard your #1 this week, but it's cool that there's some change even at the expense of Mon Amour which I like. Hoping to see Can I Jump? potentially make the top 10 soon, it's a real grower from a great album, so glad Freya's holding some positions lower down too. The debuts for Destinazione Mare, Mare Caos, Satellite and How Does It Feel are nice to see. Looking forward to the Eurovision bomb next week, even if this year is a downgrade from last year. Nice chart!
Hey CJ!
Glad that you like "Can I Jump" gaining, as well as the debuts for "Destinazione Mare", "Mare Caos", "Satellite" and "How Does It Feel". Hope you'll get a chance to hear my #1 soon on Thursday.
Also Eurovision takeover will happen next week.
Thank you for your comment.
Hey Sergej, hope you get better soon! I was kind of expecting a Eurovision bomb this week with the semi finals earlier this week but will have to wait for next week now. Loreen should surely beat her previous peak at no.6. Ive listened to the tracks and I like the entries from Cyprus, Australia and others are growing on me e.g. Lithuania.
Hey Sergej!
I salute "Mirror" as the new #1, it's quite an attractive song. I'm glad to see "Meltdown" and "Eyes Closed" in the Top Ten. And I'm happy that "Can I Jump?", "Hold On To My Love" and "Komet" might enter the Top Ten in the next few weeks. But my favourite is still "Viaggio Intorno Al Sole" which is three rungs away from the crown.
I like that at last "People" and "Feel Alive" are already part of the Top 40 and are still climbing. I hope that the "Eurovision" earthquake won't affect them. Among the songs with big gains I like "Tasche", "Light It Up", "I Found Her", "Fastcar", "Forget You", "Enjoy Your Life" and "Last Train To London (I Won't Look Back)". "Breaking your heart" so far I can't listen to it, Spotify doesn't offer it to me, I'll have to look for it on YouTube.
"Muero" sounds nice and its almost Top 40 debut is justified. The same goes for "Italodisco" and "How Does It Feel". I'm glad to see you also chart "Never Felt So Alone" and "Satellite". However, I must confess that the two debuts I liked the most were "Over" and "Rich In Love" because they are in the style I like and I hope they can start to climb.
I'd like to inform you that I used your last playlist as a background while I was at the gym, it suits me very well. I wish you a happy trip to London and may everything get better soon. We'll be in touch again in a few days, big hugs. :D
Hi Rockmaker!
Glad that you like my new #1, as well as "Meltdown" and "Eyes Closed" reaching the top 10, "Can I Jump?", "Hold On To My Love" and "Komet" gaining almost into the top 10 and "Viaggio Intorno Al Sole" almost reaching the top.
Also happy that you like "People" and "Feel Alive" gaining, as well as big gains for "Tasche", "Light It Up", "I Found Her", "Fastcar", "Forget You", "Enjoy Your Life" and "Last Train To London (I Won't Look Back)" and the debuts for "Muero", "Italodisco", "How Does It Feel", "Never Felt So Alone", "Satellite", "Over" and "Rich In Love". All, if not most songs will be affected by the Eurovision takeover next week, as it is very huge for me this year. But they will recover after the takeover the week after.
Most importantly, I feel grateful that you used my playlist as a background while being in the gym, I really worked a lot on my playlists.
Thank you for your comment and I'll talk to you in a few days!
Hey Sergej! :)
Glad to see the big jump for 'Last Train To London (I Won't Look Back)', plus the debuts for 'Muero' & 'How Does It Feel'.
Good chart!
